“Great location and good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is just two min. walk from Hauptbahnhof railway station and city center can be reached from there in 10min.
Rooms are fine. Not very spacious but nothing to complain about. Heating system was very good. The breakfast is expensive- costs Eur 13 per person so we didn't take it.
Overall very good experience.

The Delta Hotel is excellent for a simple stay in Vienna. It is modern, well maintained and well run, easy to get to from the airport by public transportation and near a pedestrian shopping street. The rooms in which I stayed was perfect - spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Because of the current construction of Vienna's main train station getting to the hotel until the project is done is somewhat tricky. From the airport, take the S7 to Renweg and change (on the same platform) to S1 or S2 towards Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Exit the S-train to Sudtiroler Platz, and follow the pavement to the left, passing the construction zone under the bridge, to the door of the train station. The hotel is across the street to the left. Nearby is Favoriten Strasse, a modest pedestrian shopping street. To get to the center go for 2-3 stops (about 5 minutes) on the U1 subway line from Sudtiroler Platz, .

Not the best hotel that i've stayed in. Not even a real 4-star. However, given how expensive Vienna is, it is a good deal for Vienna stay (we boked a double room for 62e/night without breakfast).
Perfect heating in the room, spacious room, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Decoration and furniture lack taste, amenities were ok. There is no fridge in the room. Maid was knocking our door at 8 o clock in order to clean the room (really, at 08.00 are you expecting to have left the room???).

Location was good, not very lively neighbourhood but metro was nearby (200-250 metres) and you could get at city centre in 10 min (3 stops from city centre)

To sum up, good hotel, reasonably priced for a pleasant stay without expecting something special in regard with service and amenities.

Room Tip: Put the don't disturb card outside your door if you don't wan't to wake up at 08.00 by h...

The hotel is conveniently located close to the metro station and main points of interests - just 2 stops away from Opera and 3 from St.Stefan Cathedral.
Hotel is clean, rooms are of average size and comfortable. What makes it hardly acceptable for 4 star hotel is absence of fridge, mini bar, tea/coffee maker, bathtub (only bath cabin). No iron in the room. Internet even in the lobby is 2 euro per hour which is ridiculous.
No gym.
Breakfast is average, not bad but for 4 star could also be better.
Hotel staff is not very much hospitable - not at all what you expect from 4 star hotel.
There is a construction site next to the hotel, - so it is very noisy if the room is not overlooking the quiet street (our was fine, but we asked for that).
So generally the hotel is ok, price is acceptable for that quality. Not 4 star, but clean and comfortable. The district where the hotel is located is actually very nice, - plenty of shops, cafes, supermarkets, banks. Nice places to eat can be also found locally - no need to go to the center. Try the restaurant next to Pascuccho café. Quite decent. Coffee in Pascuccho is also very nice. Not like that in the well known Aida café. Coffee is also brilliant in Tchibo, as well as their apfelstrudel)))
Have a nice trip and enjoy Vienna.

Well located, just 3 mins. walk to the next underground station (just 3 stops to city center). Cleanliness of sleeping room and bathroom absolutely ok also quality of beds, but old tv and no mini bar. The staff at reception and bar don´t make you feel to stay in a 4 star hotel.

good location, near to a big metro/train station. Easy to go to the center with public transport. Parking and internet little bit expensive, breakfast 13 € (too high). Room quite standard, nothing special.

Saved a lot staying here. Clean modest and close to all transportation in city. Only problem was room was hot on arrival in afternoon with sun coming in. Turned on a/c and heat poured out. Went to desk upset and sweaty and found out they say customers complained of too cold temps and they shut down a/c system. It is true it is cooler at night but a/c is needed day time and they list and confirm a/c on reservation. Otherwise all else is a bargain at 57 euros compared to much higher close by. A long street of stores and restaurants is 2 blocks away. Save money and stay here.
