Tea Vienna City Hotel

We just came back from our stay in Vienna. We've chosen this hotel on a recommendation. We were told it's a nice hotel with good location and amazing breakfast.
We were never so unpleasantly surprised with breakfast in a hotel before. There was minimum of choices and quantity of food... Breakfast consists of the following: buns (only white bread, no other), butter&jam/honey, pate, hazelnut cream, max. 10 hard-boiled eggs (one morning there was only 1 egg left, and at least 5 of us still coming to eat, and it was only 8am, breakfast allegedly lasts till 10am...), some cereals and some chocolate cornflakes and a few peaces of kugloff. And that's it! No ham, no cheese, no scrambled eggs, no yogurt, nothing!
When we asked what was happening and where's their famous breakfast, the staff told us they made some budget cuts and something had to suffer. "But you still promote yourselves as a 4* hotel! This is not a 4* hotel breakfast.", "Well, yes..." :/ Every morning there were some new guests stunned by this. And they all complained. Not a pleasant morning/breakfast atmosphere...

The room was nice, clean, comfortable and served the purpose of our stay. Other than having a heating system malfunction the first night (it was heating like crazy, we had our windows open whole night) that was fixed the next day and a TV with no picture, just sound, everything else was OK.

The staff is very welcoming and the hotel has a rather good location.

Too bad breakfast ruined it all for us ... It would be better if we didn't have it included, we wouldn't get our hopes up and be so disappointed in the end, but rather pleasantly surprised if we got a small "snack breakfast" on the hotel, what this in the end actually was.

Not a 4* quality!

Room Tip: Choose another hotel! If you still decide to stay here, ask for a room that doesn't face the str...

This is a small, fun hotel with rooms similar to what you might see in a trendy beach community like Miami or Santa Monica. Although it is not located in the heart of the historic center, it is only 10 minutes away - a 5 minute walk to the Neubagasse metro stop and a 5 minute ride on the U3 line. If you are shopper, this is the place to be because it is one block away from Mariahilfer, the biggest shopping street in Vienna, so you don't have to haul your purchases far and there are plenty of good eateries around. The front desk staff here is super friendly.

Good hotel with nice room and good breakfast. Close to busses and subway. Quickly and conveniently to reach any sight. In several minutes of walking the street with shops. I had very nice view from balcony and enjoyed watching city life. I think this accommodation is very comfortable for family the price adequate.

We booked Bella Vienna Apartment which is located in Hoher Markt. (District 1010).

As we read from other reviews that we need to collect the key to the apartment from the main hotel Bella Vienna CITY HOTEL, we then wrote to the hotel emailed them to have our keys delivered to us at the apartment as booked.

Unfortunately. we were told to go to the Hotel by taxi which we had to pay an additional fare of 15Euro ... just to wait for our keys to the apartment after a long tiring flight !! >_<

After some squabbles, the hotel agrees to reimburse us our taxi back to the apartment of which we requested to have our fare offset against the 30 Euro cleaning fee.

If you are arriving before 3pm with heavy luggage, I DO NOT recommend you book the Bella Vienna APARTMENT (the one located near St Stephen Cathedral in Inner Stradt) ....

1) There is NO reception nor telephone to render assistance or answer any of your queries
2) There is NO storage space to store your luggage if you arrive early or depart late. There are no other alternatives to store your luggage except to either go airport early or drag you luggage around the city!
3) There are NO hotel signage as the apartment is an office cum residential block
4) The unit block & unit system is rather confusing for 1st timer. Fortunately, an office worker happens to come out from the same building & guided us.

Apart from the stressful & confusing check-in arrangements, the apartment needs maintenance ... the parquet floor are stained, the plants are dying, the window pane in the living room is cracked, the door to balcony is falling apart that we didn't even dare to open them.

The saving grace for Bella Apartment is it's central location, spaciousness and the friendly & attractive owner, Mrs Bella herself. She overheard our commotion at the front counter & came to talk to us & suggested we go for a good lunch & check out the beautiful city.

We only checked for one night but it was a good choice! The room was really nice, warm and clean, staff was polite.

We will choose it again in the future, is very close to Mariahilfer Strabe.
Another important detail is that you can park the car in their garage, so you dont have to look for parking lots.

We stayed overnight at the Bella Vienna Hotel 1-2 Oct
. The room was comfortable and served the purpose for our stay. The reason for booking this hotel that it was advertised that there was an airport shuttle at a surcharge, which we had no problem paying for.On arrival, when checking in I enquired as to the frequency of the service and the costThe duty receptionist was unsure but did his best to be helpful.I again enquired when his replacement came on duty, she was a very helpfull girl and i asked her to order a taxi for me for 9am the following morning. She told me to come to the reception in the morning and the driver would meet me there. On checking out i was greeted by the most unhelpful and bordering on rude male receptionist who dismissed us when we enquired as to the where abouts of our taxi.We were leftin a quandry as to if there was a taxi booked and where we were to meet it because of his rude manner. In the end we had to leave and find a taxi rank so as we could make our flight in time.

Room Tip: book a room to the rear of the hotel.
