I had lunched exquisitely on the splendid terrace of this restaurant several times last year before it closed for a complete make-over; I went again this year when it finally re-opened, expecting it to be even better. I shall not go again: not only have they taken the bar away, but they have gone into fusioning by adding a japanese flavour or two. The food is really disappointing: bland and uninteresting, at least what I took: 'Japanese' mushroom risotto. Why must it be Japanese? It was just runny and soup-like. The artichoke salad I took as a starter was pathetic - a few slender strips of shredded artichoke (? or was it artichoke?). Before the menu had a sharper altogether more interesting Spanish touch - now gone. Moreover the overall price was a total rip-off. You are definitely paying for the location and not much else; service hit and miss, amateurs. What a pity, the place used to be one of the most agreeable lunch spots in central Vienna.
