After reading about this restaurant in my travel book and then again after reading reviews online, my husband and I headed to Plachutta for their well known boiled beef "Tafelspitz".
My husband had a traditional grilled steak cooked to perfection. I on the other hand ordered the specialty. The Tafelspitz is boiled beef in beautiful copper pots. It's served first with a bowl of the beef broth and vegetables of which you can add noodles etc. Then, your main course of the boiled beef comes with amazing creamed spinach and fried shredded potatoes. 2 dipping sauces are offered for the meat. In my opinion they were really what made the beef tasty.
We had a lovely dinner and experience and recommend it as a place to go for this unique dish.
There is indoor and outdoor seating. A reservation is a good idea as this place gets very busy.
