Great outside seating, extremely competent service and some of my favourite beer in Vienna. The lunch menu for EUR 7.90 is a bargain, not just because the food is pretty good and in very generous portions, but also because if you don't fancy what’s on offer, you can have pork chops/schnitzel/chicken wings/cevapcici at the same price.
They also have a handful of special dishes chalked up on the board based on what’s in season – typical for Vienna is a focus on asparagus, wild garlic or pumpkin, depending on the time of year. There are smoking and non-smoking areas and a room with a huge screen for watching sports. The brunch seems horribly overpriced, so we have never tried it.
For well-priced, typical Austrian food with reliable service, come here for lunch or order a classic such as Schnitzel or ribs with their homemade beer.
