“Nice restaurant... poor service”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Very nice restaurant centrally located in Vienna. Great place and terrace. But very poor service. It took as almost 45 min to get a spaguetti dish. Price/quality/quantity very expensive.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

A lovely restaurant in a courtyard. The antipasto included vitello tonnato, mozarella and a delicate basil pesto sauce, beautiful smoked ham with parmesan, and several other delicacies. The main course of linguine with duck ragout was great. Good wine list and calm, attentive service. An very nice experience all round.

“Rip off and not even good at that”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

My wife (who is Italian) and I like to know and understand where the best Italian restaurants are in Vienna and so we gave this one a try one evening. Well it was the last time. Crowded with tourists this place neither offers an especially cosy atmosphere, nor friendly service and tops it off with mediocre food for elevated prices. For the money you spend there you get much better Italian food in Vienna, along all dimensions. in fact the owners son in the sister place Regina Margerita already does a better job ...

“Hit and miss with the food, be careful how you order”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Came with a party of 6 people and had very good service. We enjoyed our appetizer of the eggplant and then the 2 pasta's we ordered were very good. However, we ordered a veal (not on the menu and not very good and a chicken dish, just ok) then asked for only 1 order of the salt encrusted sea bass. The waiter asked us twice, don't you want 2 fish and we said, NO we only want one fish. They brought us out 2 fish and we said, we only wanted 1 fish and they said, but these are just 2 "small" fish. The fish was excellent, So when the bill came for 68 Euro for each fish we were very surprised. Decided not to say anything since we had already eaten most of the fish, even though we could not eat it all.
They also brought us 6 portions of extra vegetables that we never ordered but still charged on our bill. The 2 desserts of manicotti and terramisu were also light and very nice.
We told our hotel about this and they were very upset, since they recommended this restaurant.
Several others have had the same experience, so I would just say be careful how and what you order!

“This place is at a unique building. The menu is classic Italian”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

I took a business partner to dinner at this restaurant and got immediately impressed with the beautiful decoration and surrounding that the inner court of the palaise is offering. That I enjoyed

The menu was classic Italian of high quality. The menu was very focused on fish and seafood. This isn't my favourite part if the Italian kitchen why I generally found that I was left with too few alternatives.

Both the salume, ravioli and tiramisu was well prepared to the highest standards. Advise to the restaurant would be to bake it own bread that had the same standard as the dishes. It would make the impression stand out more.

To my surprise the waiters wasn't skilled in assisting me select wines for the above dishes which was handled with the owner in a way that was not common to me.

At the end this was a great experience with a few improvements points. I can recommend to anyone looking for a place to dine in Vienna to look this way!
