We arrived in the restaurant and it was empty (except for 1 table), we ordered and wait for 1 hour to get our meal (no joke!). The food was mostly cold and it didn´t full fit the expectations. In general it was a very disappointing experience. If you want to go to a good Thai restaurant in Vienna, better go to Bangkok in the Neustiftgasse

It is a really nice place. Each time I visit it, the food is really tasteful. It has never been a disappointment. Some dishes have the option to come hot, extra hot or Thai hot :-). Highly recommendable.

Do not be distracted by the shabby outside and mismatched interior design of this place. Even though the restaurant looks a bit gross, the food is excellent, fresh and prepared similar to what you'd expect finding in BKK.
Service is very friendly and courteous.
Can highly recommend, will definitely go there again.

The outside area is not that inviting but don't be distracted about that 1st glimpse! Inside it is a kind of livingroom athmosphere, not typically thai.
As appetizers we ate soups (tom kah gai & tom yam gung). The 'gai' was almost perfect, the 'gung' was okay.
Main dish was a really good green curry and an also good yellow one. The little salad (cucumber) was not good. The waiters were nice and attentive.

When I was living in Vienna for many years, I regularly visit this wonderful Thai restaurant. Pinong is an authentic Thai restaurant in the 7th District, near to Neubaugasse, located at Seidengasse. Pinong is owned & run by a Thai family - hence the dishes are authentically Thai. In their extensive menu, the spicy dishes are labelled with the number of chillis to denote the level of spicyness or hotness. One chilli means spicy and 3 chillis (max.) means very spicy. However, the prices tend to be on the high side for the small portions served.

Opening hours: Mondays- Saturdays from 18.00 - 24.00 hrs; Sundays closed

Favorite Dish: My favorite is the Phad Thai Gung (fried rice noodles with prawns, eggs and peanuts) followed by Thai Fish Cake, Fish with spicy sauce, Tom Yam Gung (spicy seafood soup), Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup with galangal), Chicken Green Curry and Beef Red Curry. There are other delicious food too; you will just have to go and try them.

Address: 1070 Wien, Seidengasse 2
Directions: Metro U3 Neubaugasse station, go to Neubaugasse and then Seidengasse
