now it's "just" the best place for a quick dinner on the Naschmarkt. Service is good, prices are still reasonable - but it has become so popular that Mr. Li, owner & chef, has to churn out huge quantities of meals in a miniscule kitchen, a lot has be be pre-prepared and is not done 'a la minute anymore, the recipes have been adapted to suit the average palate - what used to be fresh, crisp & full of spices has now become a mass market "safe bet".

a pity, as Mr. Li is an exceptionally gifted cook and a very kind person, but success has it's price.

This is one of the small Chinese restaurants in the Naschmarkt. As far as I know, the owner of Li's Cooking used to be one of the partners of Mr. Lee (another Chinese noodle proprietor in Naschmarkt). Hence, the food in Li's Cooking is also good and tasty. They have a large menu selection of Asian dishes, and you will not be disappointed by the various dishes. Favorite Dish: Most of the fried noodles and stir-fried dishes are good. However, I don't recommend the noodle soups.

Opens from Monday to Saturday from 10.30 am to 11.30 pm. Closes on Sundays and holidays.

Address: Naschmarktstandl 126 - 129
Directions: Take metro U4 or U1 to Karlsplatz station, walk to front part of Naschmarkt.

This Japanese restaurant on the Naschmarkt offers excellent value for money. The food is fresh and local, well prepared and tasty, and service is efficient without being hurried. The emphasis is on seafood but there are a few nice veggie offerings. Food will be prepared without glutamate on request. The ambiente is not the place's best feature, it is rather like a lunchroom. I will gladly go back there any time I am in the area. if you happen to want to have something to eat before a performance at the Theater an der Wien, this is just across the street.

My husband and I ate here while in Vienna. We were walking through Nashmarkt and this place looked busy and the waiters didn't try to push us into eating there, they just showed us the menu and left us alone to look at it which was definitely a plus for us. We both had a bowl of soup to start (both excellent) and I ordered the Pad Thai and my husband ordered the Mango Beef. Both dishes were well prepared and delicious. The portions were of a good size. We were suprised with the bowl of coconut milk to finish our meal which was very refreshing. The food was well priced and service very good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
