We found the Yellow restaurant outdoor stand near City Hall in Vienna, where there are a good number of stands setup by local businesses for the summer selling food and drink.
Being tourists we were unaware that after ordering and paying we needed to hand the receipt to the chef in order to get our food. We sat down nearby, all the time watching for when our food would be ready, so we could go up and collect it. The chef and person at the till chatted. Presumably talking about how we never gave him the receipt. It didn't cross their minds to wave us over to get us to give the ticket to the chef? Nope.
The food was ok, it filled a gap. Oh we worked it out eventually by watching other customers. Also when we went to get a drink at another next stand, the person at the till immediately explained that we needed to give the receipt to the person at the counter.
Terrible service provided by the staff. Didn't seem to have any respect for paying customers.
