This pension is very cute, typical Viennese building. The rooms are spacious and the location is very convenient: 5 mins from the train to the airport and near the main tram line to take you to the center. Breakfast is ample and fresh, beds are reasonably comfortable and hostesses are friendly yet efficient. The only think I would say is that the walls are thin so everyone can hear your conversation but overall this is a quiet place.

We recently stayed at this pension in lieu of an expensive hotel and were not disappointed. For 90 euro per night in a very large double ensuite room and nicely furnished, with breakfast, we thought this to be teriffic value. Tram 18 from the Westbahnhof to Fasangasse puts you no more than a 10 minute walk to the pension. Likewise, tram 71 from the Rennweg stop not more than a 5 minute walk, gets you into the city center, Karlsplatz, the Rathaus, Musikverein in 10 minutes. Breakfast is very average if I have to say something that could be better, however, it does have mostly everything one could want for breakfast. I would gladly stay with Barbara and Barbara, the mother and daughter who run the 17 room or so pension again. This is a great value in an expensive hotel city! It does have a lift and they do take credit cards also.

This quiet, roomy accommodation close to the Botanical Gardens and Belvedere Palace and a short tram ride to the center of Vienna was a great place to roost. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was ample and fresh. The cost was very reasonable and we certainly would stay here again on a future trip.

I stayed only for a night and it was wonderful. The location is great and the price not expensive. Clean room, nicely decorated, no noise. The breakfast could have a little more of variety but still enjoyable. Is a shame that you can only pay by cash but that wasn't a big problem for me.
The very nice owner called me a taxi taking me to the city centre to go to the airport. The taxi driver was a little bit dodgy trying to cheat, but fortunately I am quite experience in these kind of traveling and that didn't happen.

My husband and I only had about 15 hours in Vienna, so we picked this pension based on good review and the location. We were happy with our choice. We took the S-Bahn train right from the airport, got off at the Rennweg stop. It was a short walk from there to the Pension. We were met by a friendly woman that showed us to our very nice clean, large room. She gave us a map of the city and a few directions and we were off to explore.

Just a couple blocks from the Pension is a beautiful park to explore. We then headed into the main town area - Ringstrasse. About a 15-20 minute walk from the Pension. Lots of shops, beautiful buildings and churches to explore and restaurants. We were able to take in the sights, eat weinerschnitzel and enjoy large mugs of beer. This place was great!

We would recommend this place. We left too early to enjoy the breakfast, but there was a nice looking breakfast area.

In actuality, I would give the hotel 3.5 stars. We had one night in Vienna due to a 17 hour layover, and we wanted something on the same line as the airport but close to the city center. Hotel Pension fit the bill. I had printed out the website directions/map to the hotel, we took the S-bahn to the Rennwig station with no issues, and then….. were completely lost. The hotel map did not give any indication which exit to use from the station, and having used the wrong one, none of the streets were on the map. A 5 minute walk quickly turned into half an hour. (Once we found the hotel, it really is a very quick walk to the S-bahn station.) Seems like this could be easily avoided with slightly more descriptive directions on the website.

We booked the hotel through booking.com, and the website clearly outlined that credit cards were accepted for payment without exception. As we were at the end of our trip, this was perfect as we did not have much cash remaining. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were told that since we were just staying one night, they wanted us to pay with cash. We clarified that we were going by the instructions we were given and showed how credit card was explicitly shown as accepted, to no avail. Thus, we inquired as to where the closest ATM was - but were not given an answer. In the end, since we had to leave before breakfast, they took pity on us and let us pay with a credit card. If this really is the policy (1 night is cash only), then that should also be specified up front.

Past those two initial issues, we found the room to be large and clean, with very comfortable beds. There was a great city map available and the owner gave us good instructions on how to make a great walking loop through the city center. In summary, we would definitely recommend the hotel, but know upfront about their one night cash policy and also make sure you exit out the right train exit for the map provided on the hotel website to make sense.

I have stayed in Hotel Pension Bosch while I went on a conference in Vienna. It is excellent value for money combined with the experience of staying in a very clean traditional Viennese house in a very convenient location close to the city. The owners are kind and offer their help whenever needed. I have also recommended it to colleagues who were disappointed with their choice of hotel and they agreed with me after they moved to Hotel Pension Bosch.
