Spent 4 days in Vienna, and travelled by train and tram. The three day ticket was just the ticket! Was always on time and not too crowded

Metro or subway or underground is the superb system Vienna is connected to stops by busses. Metros and trams. Have used many metros in the world but I find Vienna metros to be faster than any where in world. Ywah they are outdated but works as it takes less time

A great service. The trains & stations are modern & clean. The service is efficiently run & enables one to get to places of interest quickly. The signage & announcements are clear & understandable.

The U bahn is a very convenient way to travel in Vienna. Especially with a 24/48/72 hour pass you can have unlimited travel clubbed with buses and trams. There are 4 lines, U1, U2, U3 and U4, which inter connect every part of the city. The stations have several exits, thus making them approachable from your place of commute. Do validate single tickets (2.40 euro) before you enter the train.

Most of the global underground systems are a necessary horror. But the Vienna U-Bahn is by far the nicest underground system I’ve ever traveled on. A hour walk is but 6 mins on a U-bahn. Stations are clean and seem pretty secure. Weekly tickets are under €20. Its a must for transport around Vienna with most of the attractions nearby metro stops.
