I have never eaten Turkish food before. Since I am a vegetarian, I thought they were all into meat. But a visit today to Cappadocia in Drammen made me think otherwise.

Their vegetarian dishes tasted lovely. The service was perfect and the food was served quickly, but not too quickly (if you know what I mean).

Great place, although the chairs were not all that comfortable. But seeing both Norwegians and foreigners eating (especially seeing Turks there) there definitely gave this place a trustworthy restaurant worth visiting again.

We often eat at cappadocia in Globusgården. It is a small cafe-style eatery with a varied menu.

They do classic kebabs, but also so much more. The lentil soup in excellent, as are the various grilled items. Home-made bread (made as you watch) adds an extra level.

The restaurant is often full of Turkish immigrants and Norwegian youth, the latter I suspect have found out that this is a place with very good value for money and large portions.

Not a gourmet restaurant, but honest and authentic grub for a low price. They do not have a license to sell alcohol, but serve excellent Turkish tea.

A bit hidden away in the circular building called Globus (the Globe), looks almost like a burger place, tables and chairs too close together and not very comfy. Some customers just drinking tea or talking. Is this a place to eat, or should you just hurry across the bridge to the Bragernes-side of the city, with it's more fancy places, bars and restaurants?

Here's a secret. If you do, you miss out on som really delicious meals. Nicely presented, steaming hot and very tasty. Even the kebab roll for the kid was really good.

And these courses come at a price you almost can't beat. At least not in Norway. At app. 100 kroner you get the main courses, and that's a bargain.

They don't serve alcohol, so maybe it's not the place for the romantic special dinner with your spouse, but for most other reasons, this joint is well worth a visit.
