“Decent food, a bit noisy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

My 25 colleagues and I came in for a tapas dinner - coming in at 16:00 and staying for several hours. The restaurant is oblong-shaped; quite long and narrow. We sat at the inner tables and found the surroundings a bit noisy. It's quieter nearer the door. It was also a bit hot in the restaurant, something which transferred to the wine, which was also too warm. When commenting on this, we were given a big cooler bowl to chill the wine down - good service compensating for a product initially found lacking.

The selection of red wines is good, but the wine list had a small and unimpressive assortment of whites and other types. The food varied somewhat in quality. The positive: everything that had to do with sauce and spices; the aioli, the meat sauces, the oils used. The chorizo was especially tasty. The negative: the meat was of mediocre quality (particularly the meat balls were quite dry and chewy).

As for pricing, well, as is customary in Norway, the food is reasonably priced while the wines are listed at 4-5 times the price of buying bottles in the shops. That's how a restaurant earns its money. If you're not drinking alcohol, but will settle for the water jugs placed at the table, you can get a good meal for a very reasonable price. The service was also good throughout the evening.
