“The most terrible hotel i've ever seen”

Far too expensive for what you get. Everything is broken, expect the internet. The single rooms cost 750 kroner, that is more than 100 euro. When you want to get something out of the cupboard, you first have to put het chair away. Showering means a wet toilet as well. When you want to dry your hair you have to sit on the floor. The single room is about 3m2. It's awfully small and certainly it's not worth the money at all. The breakfast is very poor. The milk is sour and you have to search for knifes. Don't go there!!!!! The staff is certainly not very helpfull. The rooms are not being cleaned and there are no clean towels.

Thank you for your review. We apologize that your stay was not as expected. The room you stayed in is our smallest single room, it is around 8m2 incl bathroom. The others are bigger. There have been many improvements since you stayed with us. We hope you will stay with us another time. Best regards City Hotell

Very small rooms, extremely expensive for what you get. The only good thing is the free internet.
Staff is not capable of running a hotel. Rooms are not very clean.

Close to the ferry is the good thing about it. Otherwise not really worth the money. Broken coffee machine, broken tv, small room. Friendly staff and WiFi. Nothing more to add. I stayed for half the night to catch the ferry to Lofoten.

Nice hotel, well run, and good value for the money (but still expensive for a UK pocket).
good daily options (again basic but tasy) in the attached cafeteria, with 2courses and coffee for a very reasonable 150Kr
free wifi a bonus, friendly staff, and a useful place for a stopover. reasonably close to rail station

Room Tip: they do a family room which has a small balcony which may be a better bet if you have children

We had a little trouble finding this hotel as its location is not very clear, both in the Lonely Planet and Rough Guide guidebooks. If you arrive by train, go up to the street that runs parallel to the train tracks (Sjogata). Take the street that is goes up the hill opposite the train station and climb up the hill one more street to Storgata. The hotel is on the northeast corner and has a small sign that’s easy to miss. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful, giving us directions to the grocery store and a kebob place. Our room (205) was on the small side although the bathroom was of reasonable size. This is an older place so don’t expect anything special for the rooms. There wasn’t room enough for side tables by the beds and there wasn’t much storage space. The room did have a desk and chair and an extra chair. There is free wifi. The router went down once, but the desk clerk recycled it and got it back on. The beds were not so good. Mine was saggy in the middle and I woke up with a backache. Lots of very hot water. It's off the main street and very quiet. Breakfast is not included. They offer a breakfast for 75 NOK but we didn’t use it. The room wasn’t serviced on the second day. We went down the hall to the linen cabinet and helped ourselves to fresh towels. Compared to the other hotels available in Bodo this place is a reasonably good value but a few too many negatives for me.

Room Tip: Suggest you inspect the room that's offered before you accept it.

We only stayed one night at the hotel as we were catching the overnight train to Trondheim. So its location just around the corner from the train station was why we booked our room here.Very satisfactory comfortable room if unspectacular but why spend time in you room when you want to get out.We didnt have the breakfast but went for brunch instead and the food was excellent. The home made bread is outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful allowing us to leave our bags in reception when we went out for the day.Excellent stay.
