We booked this place because it was raining a lot and we are wet and cannot camp properly. We got a budget room which is given the price, it is what is expected. The Filipina receptionist at night was really friendly and cordial to us. The breakfast buffet is great given that it is included with the cheap room. Overall, the experience is good for a short-stay.

Ok hotel, got a pretty good deal through Hotels.com for the Midsummer time. Only problem came with the payment. Had a paid beforehand since Hotels.com had an offer. However the hotels insisted that we pay to them and refused to believe that we had paid already (had all the documents and even showed them my credit card statement). They were not willing to check things from Hotels.com and said that if we truly have paid beforehand they would not double charge us... yeah right, we all know what happened! Hotels.com tried to get them to refund to my credit card but no luck, luckily Hotels.com had a superb service and they returned the fee I had paid to them. Otherwise hotel just ok, nothing fancy. Ok breakfast, surroundings not the best one but the skiing is close if you visit during the wintertime. The staff did not spoke that good English, that was too bad when trying to sort the payment issue.

We stayed in the Hotel, not in the Budget room building (which according reception is not part of Best Western, they have some kind of special arrangement here). I see that many here complain about the budget room they stayed in. Well, you get what you pay for I guess. I had reserved the budget room as well, but was offeret upgrade to hotel for a couple hundred NOK, off which I gladly accepted after having inspected the room vs the one in hotel. As said in the Title, the hotel is a little worn, but the rooms are clean and peaceful. We slept well. Personnel is very friendly and smiling, which is always nice. We ate also dinner at the hotel restaurant. Not a large meny, but they have something for most people (fish, meat, vegetarian). The burger we had was very good and the fries on the side were fried to perfection.

Room Tip: If you have reserved budget room, upgrade if possible

Hello kossuvissy and thank you for your nice review. Good to see that you slept well visiting us. As you say, Best Western Narvik Hotel and Narvik Budget Rooms are two different hotel products. Narvik Budget Rooms hires check in/out and breakfast/dinner-services at Best Western, but it is a different hotel with lower standard and prices compared with Best Western. The room standard is much higher at Best Western.

Best Western Narvik Hotel and Narvik Budget Rooms actually have the same owners, therefore it is possible to upgrade to Best Western (if rooms available)even if you already have booked at Narvik Budget Rooms.

Kossuvissy, you are of course welcome back, and we wish you a further nice summer.

Best Regards
Marlene Pedersen, General Manager.

We stayed at the Budget rooms next to Best Western hotel. Room was very bad. Carpet on the floor was dirty and after shower whole room smelled like cigarette. We lost our appertite because of the smell and some of our clothes smells like cigarette now. I don't like it.

Eventhough hotel staff was very friendly all the time. Thank you for that. Breakfast would have been ok.

I don't recommend those budget rooms to anyone. Maybe next time it would be better to pay more to get better room or stay another hotel.

Hello Elisainen. See previous explanation of the difference between Narvik Budget Rooms and Best Bestern Narvik Hotel. Narvik Budget Rooms is not the same hotel product as Best Western Narvik Hotel.

Hello Miki and thank you for the feedback. The price difference between the two hotels are based on availability on the two different hotels. Most often it is a big difference, but for example if it is low availability at Narvik Budget Rooms and at the same time high availability at Best Western Narvik Hotel, then the price difference will be lower.

For more information of the difference between those two hotel products, please read previous posts.

Best Regards
