“Nice place, hyped?”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

We stayed overnight and were in general satisfied. View indeed splendid, however personnel a bit desinterested and the room sold as double, probably was single. The space was o.k., however the second beds quite poor and the bathroom not seperated from the room as you might expect from a double room (Room 305). So ask explicitly for a real double room. Apart from those issues, good place to stay.
Breakfast was good, would have been nice if the table got cleaned after the previous users.
Got the idea that money comes in easy....

Good rooms, well equipped, good breakfast and from the breakfast room great view. There's not much more to say. We enjoyed it al lot. There's a small room where you can read or work with your laptop (wifi), so you have to be a bit lucky to get a place.
We stayed in the familyroom with 4 people and still had a lot of space to sit or play cards. It is a small walk to the town center. There is a lot of height differences in Narvik, it's good to know if you have difficulty with walking.

Room Tip: The family room (4 persons) has two single beds and one double bed. It is spacious and well equipped...

It was a nice supprise to come. Everything looked so nice at once.
Wonderful views from our room. And from the breakfast room in the morning.
A very nicely renovated guesthouse. We really liked that.
And a very good start for going to Lofoten after a long drive though Sweden.

Room Tip: 30x if You want to see the Sea (tu sii tö sii, niinku suomalainen sanoisi)

Bredablikk is a very nice Guesthouse. It's situated in the centre of town, 3 blocks (uphill) from main street. There are a couple of restaurants and a pub less than 5min walk away.
Staff is very friendly. We got a free upgrade from standard room to one of the rooms upstairs, because there was one available). The whole place is very cosy, they've got a nice porlour.
There's a great view over Narvik from the breakfast room, the parlour as well as from the upstair rooms.
Breakfast buffet is good.
Good value (for Norway).

Room Tip: Upstair rooms are best (more expensive than standard rooms).

We arrived by bus from Gallivare at the train station after a very picturesque journey across the mountains. The B&B is about 300m from the station up a moderate slope. It is worth printing a map in advance to find the B&B. However we were very pleased when we arrived there to find we had a room with a spectacular view over the town and fjord. The room size was adequate and the place has a cozy feel. The breakfast room has an excellent view and added to our enjoyment of the B&B. It is a short but very steep walk down to the main street.

(Have a look at the comprehensive war museum and have drink at the bar at the top of the Rica Hotel to enjoy the all-round view)

Very nicely renovated guesthouse, excellent service, wonderful views from our room in top floor as well as from the breakfast room, perfect location. They had a small storage room where we could store our bikes. We had a room with double bed + one extra bed. The room was large enough to fit the travel bed for our one year old child. I would warmly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely choose the same place if I will have a chance to visit Narvik again. A bit pricey, but considering the general price level in Norway, still good value.

Room Tip: Excellent view from rooms facing the sea on top (4th) floor.

Reviewed 21 April 2012

In February, I booked a room for a few days over the Easter holiday with Booking.com. Just before I left for my trip, they contacted me to tell me that they would be closed over the Easter week and would rebook me at the nearby and more expensive Rica hotel at the same rate that I had with this hotel. No problem.

Although I was disappointed by the cancellation, I was very happy and satisfied with the prompt and courteous service from both this hotel and Booking.com

I did visit the hotel when was I was in Narvik and walked on the property. I was impressed. The view of the city and harbor was superb, reminding me of places like San Francisco, Vancouver or Seattle. There is a bit of hill up from the main street to the hotel that could be problematic with luggage on an icy or snow clad street, but nothing that can't be resolved by taking your time or taking the longer and flatter road around.

The hotel is close to the main street, bus station, and train station. It is also a short walk to the Narvik ski slopes.
