I have to agree with the previous reviewers and can only rave about the apartment. It is very centrally located and once you get off from the Airport Bus it is literally 3 minutes walk to the apartment.

There is a shopping mall down the road to buy amenities needed (we badly needed to stock up since Norwegian Air lost my luggage!) Bus stops are very close by and since it is in the city centre there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The reception is located on the same building but different entrance (very easy to spot).

The staffs are very friendly - on my day of arrival she sympathised with me having lost my luggage and help to call the baggage service a few times. The next day's receptionist was equally nice and friendly - she called the baggage service to reconfirm whether my bag has been located or not. The staffs helped us with directions too. Tromso itself is very walkable and although we bought the bus pass we find it very easy to even do a leisure walk to the Arctic cathedral and took the bus to the botanical garden.

We requested for an extra bed and it was kindly provided to us with no extra charge. We bought the room through their official website which was cheaper than most agents at NOK 1000 for a superior room. The room was very large and clean and the bathroom is clean although very basic.

We found that the breakfast option across the hotel is quite expensive so we stocked up on some groceries. On our morning of departure we cooked breakfast and were very pleased to find all kitchen utensils ready.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay a bit longer -- the restaurants in Tromso are not that very cheap and it may be very helpful to cook once in a while!

As we were staying in Tromso for a week, we booked a medium sized apartment with a sleeping area separate to the living room. It also has a well-equipped kitchen, dining table, and private bathroom. Our apartment was on the street side but as we were on the fourth floor, we didn't notice any traffic noise and had a great view from the living room. A good buffet breakfast is available in the hotel across the street for a very reasonable price if tickets are purchased from City Living. As Norway can be quite expensive, we were pleased to be able to cook some of our own meals rather than eating in restaurants every day. The location is excellent and everything is within easy walking distance. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Stay was great in this modern hotel. Room was warm and bed very comfortable. I was very impressed with the well-equipped kitchenette. Food in Norway is not cheap, so it is a good idea to prepare your own meals, or buy take-aways from the supermarkets.

My only suggestion is to have extra shelves in the bathroom so that one can put one's toiletries and clothes. Plus, a floor mat in the bathroom would be appreciated as well to dry one's feet.

Inexpensive but excellent hotel in the centre of Tromsø. Breakfast is served in a restaurant on the opposite side of the street an is not included in the price, but good value.
I especially liked the little kitchen where one can make coffee or even prepare a meal

After a hectic periode my man and I needed to recharge our batteries. Having been married with a Tromsoe guy (donkeys years ago), this is one of our favourite places to come! Although we always have a choice of staying with friends whilst we're here, this time we chose to start off by staying at a hotel.
And what a good choice we made! The accommodation had a kitchenette fully equipped with 2 electric cooking plates and a fridge (important as it's an expensive country to eat and drink out!) (approximately 80.- Nkr. for a pint), a microwave, flat screen TV, sitting area, kitchen table, bathroom/shower, heating/air condition and the possibility to use a washing machine and dryer in the basement!
All this for "only" Nkr. 800.- a night which (trust me) is a good price! So if you're in this part of the world (the land of the midnight sun) don't hesitate to choose City Living! (Bang centre of town as well!)

Room Tip: We stayed with a partial view to Tromsdalen/Fjellheisen which was nice. (506)
