Like Melon1973 I had absolutely no gripes about this hotel. Its in a great location right by the harbor where the majority of the expedition companies pick up their customers from, the flybussen (airport transfer service) stops right outside and the tourist information office was less than 5 minute walkaway at the back.

My room had a view of the harbor, was clean, spacious and comfortable and the bathroom the same (although I wish Radisson would move away from their chosen prison chic scheme - all white tiles with heavy grey grouting), breakfast was plentiful and popular (was busy every day I stayed there), as a solo female traveler I felt completely safe and any staff members I encountered were friendly and professional.

If I had any gripes it was that there could be better soundproofing when the in-house band are playing (which was on one night only) - but its the Christmas party season and I wouldn't want to begrudge anyone their fun!! (And the band were done by 1.00 am so no real harm done!).

Room Tip: If you can pay extra for the superior rooms as these are the ones with the view of the harbor - its...

this is a great hotel.Me and my wife stayed here for one night before a cruise round northern Norway and a night after the cruise. To be honest we couldn't fault it in any way.It was a very quick check in and the hotel staff are very friendly.the bed is extremely comfortable and the breakfast has a very good selection.we were both impressed. If you are going on a cruise from tromso its perfect as the harbour is literally just round the corner.Tromso is small but the hotel location is very good for getting around the city.the tourist information is just around the corner as well.It started our holiday off very well

Can't believe some of the over fussy reviews on here. If you want a gym go to a gym (it's a hotel!). Staff were friendly everywhere we went, good breakfast and room clean and great view over the harbour. Location wise, don't know how it can be beaten - tourist office around the corner. Airport bus picks up and drops off outside.

Room wasnt spacious, and the gym as shown on their website is so misleading. It is small, and only two threadmill. Nothing else. No free weights, bench or any other machines. Location wise, it is just average.

The hotel is well maintained and in an ideal location. Rooms are spacious with comfortably sized bathrooms. Breakfast is plentiful. There is free wifi in the rooms. There is a separate desk in the lobby to help with tour bookings. We had a harbor view that was lovely. The airport shuttle stop is directly outside the hotel. All said a nice stay, there are just a few negatives. Our room had no drawers, not even small ones for underclothes so we had to use our suitcases. There are no toiletries, just the liquid bodywash/shampoo/soap combo which I don't think anyone likes. The bath towels are small and cheap. This was especially unfortunate since the shower door was only a half pane of glass that ended an inch before reaching the tub. Of course every shower flooded the bathroom floor and no bathmat was provided.

We had prepaid for 4 nights but our flight from Oslo to Tromso was cancelled due to weather. We arrived around 10am next morning(up around 6 am ) but hotel had given our room away- even though prepaid. We had to wait over two hours. Room was small, badly designed -tv beside bed, mirror in a corner beside table no shelves or wardrobe.
Good points- location excellent, breakfast good, staff very helpful

This hotel is in a very good location as it is just walking distance from shops and the harbour. The rooms are small, but very clean. The breakfast is actually very good and tasty. We stayed for two nights and would book it again if we would come back to Tromso.
