After 4 nights on Hurtigruten cruise we were longing to have some spicy indian food and India house delivers it. This more so as we are vegetarians and found its matar paneer and naan quite good. This is the only Indian restaurant in Tromso so we landed up having dinner on both nights.
One basic advise Do not try to convert NOK to INR, you will not be able to enjoy food. This is Norway probably the costliest place in the world!!

Like other reviewers I am always horrified at the cost of everything in Norway so you can't blame this restaurant for the cost. It is shocking in comparison with what you pay in the UK but as the food was good I would still recommend this restaurant. But note that there is a limited choice of vegetables - as it must be very expensive to import them I am not surprised but it does mean a more limited menu than in the UK.

The food was good and the service was prompt and the meal arrived quickly. Portion size could have been bigger, but it was a decent size compared to other meals in Norway. Their mango lassi could definately be bigger. It was expensive but then all food in Norway is expensive, so I don't think it was excessive for Norway.

The food was good but not exceptional. Everywhere in Tromso is quite expensive and this was NOK805 for 3 main meals and a naan bread which is about £80.

imagine when you'd really want to eat something spicy, cute, and different..
suddenly, you see an Indian restaurant, perfect!
from outside it looks cute, and nice; the menu is shown but prices are erased..you can discover prices only once you are seated.

the kitchen seemed cooked by anyone other than an Indian!
the rice was completely overcooked and the vegetables were simply boiled and then sauteed in spices.
we spent as if we had eaten a whale steak!
