My wife and I did the two day dogsledding tour, camping on the snow for one night. Definitely the most challenging, rewarding and spectacular part of our European holiday. Don't be discouraged if you have a few spills initially - the first part of the journey from Tore's house was the most technical, after that it was pretty much plain sailing if you have a fair sense of balance. Luckily there was a bit of a blizzard prior to our departure, and by the second day we were sledding through a valley on virgin snow with bright blue skies above - a sensational experience we will never forget. The dogs are friendly, and our guide Jeffrey was very competent and patient, with a good sense of humour. Luckily our fellow sledders (an Irish father and son) were great company also. Despite -10 deg temperature at night, the camping gear supplied kept us very warm. A view of the Northern Lights would have made our trip perfect, however it gives us a good excuse to return!
