Hello!

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to review us! It’s always great to hear that people appreciate the location. Especially since we ourselves absolutely love this exciting part of Oslo. Youngstorget really has it all.

Our main goal is to offer affordable accommodation in this awesome city, without compromising on the location.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay here and hope to see you again soon!

A very good value hotel, for a capital city. It is within about 10 mins walking distance from the central station. The hotel itself is very modern and new, the rooms are great, the bathrooms new, clean and functional. The pre arrival communication is great and the self service check in is easy to follow, however it was not clear that although you can use your phone for your door key you still need a card to use the lift and to run the lights in your room. There is free tea and coffee in reception 24hrs a day, although no milk only powdered creamer. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is simple, but very clean and very nice/smiling people is working there.
I miss that they dont have breakfast.. mr Lee/nudles and what you had dont do it for me.. i missed bread.... and cheese/kaviar/"ham-cheese" or something simple to put on.. but it was a frigde in the room, so you can have something in the frigde till breakfast. Otherwise a very good, cheap and cozy hotel.

We picked the hotel because of the high score on other comparison sites. We were surprised on arrival to find the hotel full of younger people who seemed to be very much part of a Goth / Heavy Metal scene. Having said that, everybody was very friendly and polite. The hotel was quiet and the room really great value for money.

Location is fine, in the centre of the city, 5 minutes by tram from the harbour and restaurants. Plenty of bars and cafes in the area.

Negative points - they don't clean the rooms every day but they are up front about this and the breakfast is truly minimal.

Postive points - the room was spotless, free (fast wifi throughout the building), location, free coffee 24 hours a day and very friendly pricing'

We would certainly go back.

Room Tip: I had a room on the 8th floor, no problems at all

Booked this hotel due to the price and distance towards the train station (the shortest way is to walking through the Folkteatret galleria).

The rooms are small (reflecting the word "Xpress") but cosy with red-white color scheme with updated furnitures.

Its close to Youngstorget and Brugata, which are lively at nights.

We stayed 5 nights in a twin room on one of the lower floors of this hotel. The rooms at this level are rather odd, as one side of the hotel is built within the shell of an older building, so the windows of our room looked into the gutted interior of another structure. This meant that the windows were sealed, and this was the only real area that let this otherwise good hotel down as it meant the room was far too warm. There is no air conditioning and the ventilation system, despite setting it as low as possible, kept the room at a constant 21 degrees which was stuffy for sleeping. Unfortunately, at the time there were no other rooms available with opening windows though these should be cooler. On a positive note, it has to be said that the peculiar structure of the room we stayed in meant that it was completely silent, absolutely no sound from the city got through and it was without doubt the quietest city hotel I've ever stayed in.
Apart from the temperature the room was a good size, clean and functional, and the bathroom also clean and reasonably roomy. The lack of room servicing wasn't a problem, it's not that hard to tidy up after yourself - fresh towels would have been nice, but the ones we had dried very quickly in the warm, dry air.
The staff were efficient and friendly. There is also free tea and coffee available 24hrs per day in reception, as well as a variety of food items for purchase. The hotel has a laundry with washers and dryers available for guest use.
The location is very central, making walking around the city a great option, and for more distant locations buses and trains are very close by.
For such a good location this hotel is excellent value.

Room Tip: If you do not sleep well in a warm environment, ask for a room with opening windows.
