“Inexpensive, very central and OK'ish”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

First impressions are very good, just about a 100 yards/meters from Parliament, so very centrally located - and a very nice, helpful and friendly receptionist. We got 2 separate rooms on the top (sixt) floor. I even got a little terrace. The price of about 700+ NOKs implies that this is not meant to be luxurious, and it isn't. The room was small, a small single bed, small bathroom with shower, toilet and wash, a little TV that I never tester. On the terrace there was a tiny old chair and the paint was peeling from the outside wall. Furniture is a bit flimsy. But things are clean, and I got a good nights sleep in a very convenient location for my meetings - at a very low price. My traveling companion wasn't so lucky, as she had someone nearby who made a lot of noise late at night, but I guess that could happen anywhere.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor, and ask for one with a terrace.

I start with the best, her name is Birgit the manager, this lady has all the characteristics of what I call a great manager, she cares about her customers and about her staff and I know the culture of customer relation in a hotel initiates from the manager, the hotel is old but nice and clean rooms are ok and location is perfect, I suggested all my friends to go there and they did. if you go to Oslo and you are looking for a reasonable price and great location and perfect customer relation go to this hotel.

No complaines about this hotel, it's clean and has all you need. Maybe not the modern look, but for the price you pay its really good. I don't eat that much for breakfast, so the sandwich, fruit and juice was enough for me. The location is good as well, next door (almost) you find the metro and the city centre just outside

Oslo mega expensive, This hotel although basic, was very well priced if you are staying only a couple of days.Very Central 10 minutes walk from the bus station and close to all other attractions.Very good 24/7 food shop next door with excellent baguettes and most amazing beef vindaloo for 20 kronas .good sports bar adjacent and Blues and Jazz club Her Nillson within a two minute walk.

This hotel was clean tidy and exactly what I needed well in Oslo it was very reasonable (£150 for 3 nights) which is cheap for Oslo. Very central, 10 minute walk from central station, the palace etc. Plenty of places around to eat although most very expensive but then again that is Oslo for you! Staff very helpful. I personally wouldn't bother with the breakfast packs that get delivered to the room.

Clean basic hotel room for a reasonable price in unreasonably priced Oslo. Had a room overlooking the road though. Not sure if my opinion would have differed with an internal facing window.

Staff are pleasant for Oslo standard which we found generally below standard.

Read the other comments on breakfast. It is what it is. If you like a nice buffet breakfast each morning then this isn't the place for you. I thought it was cute. Although a vegan option would be nice. Why do Europeans put cheese in everything.

Location is perfect for everything although it doesn't take long to see Oslo on foot.

Overall a good place to stay. If I ever felt the need to pay double for everything again and decided to return to Oslo, I would stay here again.

This hotel, whilst not being extravagant is without doubt the best value in Oslo, by far!!

The staff are very welcoming, a basic breakfast is delivered to your door each morning and it is in the perfect location, very central!

Highly recommend if you are travelling on a budget!
