Description: Modern bar and brasserie with an international, relaxed atmosphere. The building was originally an eletrical transformer station, and the 12-metre ceiling gives a unique atmosphere to the room. Bolgen & Moi's brasserie offers innovative food and will recommend wines from the extensive wine list. The restaurant serves everything from oven-baked pizza to 5-course menus, and a popular breakfast buffet is available Thursday-Saturday. The large bar serves a great selection of cocktails, snacks and treats from a wood-burning stove, and in summer you can enjoy your meal on the large outdoor terrace.

“Quality and ambient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2014

Divided with a Brasserie and a Cafeteria, where the latter one being cheaper and quicker - Bølgen & Moi have an ambient which is theirs in so many ways.
Surrounded by open fire places, ovens and brick, they have created the right combination of dark, but not too dark.

The staff are professional as in the top notch restaurants, as they should be in a classy place as this, and the chefs are excellent.

Make a day of it: Start with champagne and quickies, and go over to pizza or other types of food during the evening.

The restaurant is located smack in the middle of an old electricity transformer station for the area, which gives it the right combination of old and new.

“Julebord "christmastable"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2014

As usually we had our "julebord", a celebration with friends or colleagues during the christmas in December. For internationals this is a Norwegian custom.

We had excellent service, food made it quickly to the table and drinks are both good and decently priced compared to Oslo levels.

We never have a bad experience at Bølgen & Moi Briskeby. It is a doozy, yet vibrant place to bring friends, family or your significant other.

Warm recommendations !

“Nice lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

We had lunch here on a Thursday, during a recent business trip to Oslo. The restaurant is in an old fire-station. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. We were served by a very polite and professional waiter who couldn't do enough for us. I had the Caesar Salad, which was great. The food was well-presented and the service fast - ideal if you haven't got much time to spare, but want a nice lunch. The prices are a bit steep, but that's to be expected in Norway!

“Well suited for larger groups”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2013

We were a group of people, 15-20 persons who had a three course meal in this restaurant. We got a separate room in the basement with a nice view to the wine cellar. The menu was strange all based on Norwegian ingredients, but very tasty. The chef knows how to compose a menu you do not get very many other places. Service was also good throughout the meal. This restaurant is a good choice if you are a large group of people. We will visit them again.

“Sunday buffet extravaganza!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2013

This was an excellent varied buffet offering cold meats, fish, soup, freshly oven baked pizza, quiche, hot chicken, sausages, vegetables, salmon and vegetables in a cheese sauce, breads, salads of all sorts, a cheese board, desserts, etc. you can eat as much as you like. It was quality and good value relative to anything else in Norway! As it s a buffet from 12 to 5 the service was not an issue. The cheesecake was excellent too!
