The hotel has an excellent location, just 5-10 minutes walk to the harbour and few minutes to Karl Johans Gate main street.
The hotel itself is ok. We had a queen size bed, they do not have minibar (however you can make yourself tea in the room) and we had to go get towels from the reception. But the room was clean and a decent size.
Breakfast was ok, though few options provided.
Overall, I would stay there again for a weekend and for the excellent location in the city!

It is a good location - right near the main shopping street and also near the Marina. However, even though it's central - the streets nearby are bare and if you are a solo woman may not feel overly safe. I'd choose one of the cluster of hotels just to the North of the shopping street if this is the case.

I paid $180USD per night. All the hotels are expensive in Oslo - so there isn't much to choose from if you want to pay less. Nothing is terribly wrong with the Park Inn - however, nothing is terribly right with it either. Rooms are decent size for Norway - but the room is like a sad version of Ikea (cheaply made). They have black-out curtains and It's clean. Bathroom leaves much to be desired. I ended up staying in another hotel in Oslo and liked it much better. If I were you, I'd search around for a better deal - but you won't walk out on the Park Inn if you end up there either.

Overall a nice hotel in a nice central area near the main shopping street. Five minute walk from almost everything and 1 minute walk from the metro station.
The central railway station was about 10 minutes walk and considering the fact that we have arrived at aprox. 1 a.m it was pretty nice and safe.
The room was nice and modern but small / compact with no closet (just some hangers on the wall).
There was a coffee / tea maker (free) and an ironing board.
The bathroom was ok but the shower cube was a bit small with no curtine on it.
The staff could have been more friendly but ok overall.
The breakfast was quite good but avoid rush hour as it gets very crowded.
We were a bit unlucky and the heating system was not working in our room but they were kind enough to bring us a heater so there was no problem with that.
Finally, at the checkout they charged us their regular room price instead of the online better price that we had booked (by mistake i hope) but we told them and we were given a refund of the difference. So have it in mind when you check-out.
Overall, a nice hotel - value for money considering the high-priced Oslo in a nice location with a nice breakfast and clean and modern room.
Would recomend if you are not looking for a luxurious stay.

This is a no frills sort of hotel, it's clean and a great location. Decided to stay here to save a bit as our trip is more than 2 weeks and stayed at some more luxury hotels later in the trip. The woman at reception was very nice, but the guy was rather rude and never bothered to actually listen to anything I asked him. The rooms are clean and simple, the breakfast is decent. The best thing about the hotel is the location, close walk to the waterfront, shopping, etc. There's a nice restaurant with a lot of outdoor seating just down the block towards the water.

What you can expect from a park inn hotel; it is clean, service is OK and the rooms are small but not bad.

Location is excellent: about 5-10 minute walk to the central train station, one block off of main pedestrian shopping in city center. We stayed in a double, which had a reasonable amount of space, a decent amount of comfort, good technology, and a bathroom that was not spacious but adequate. The breakfast included hot food and cold cereals and sandwiches. Overall this is a very good hotel at a very good price in a very good location. The curtains were blackout which is a big help in the summer.

First, the reception: Tom Erik Hansen seemed to be on 24 hours/day. He is knowledgeable and polite. There was another person at the desk, also pleasant. This hotel has what a traveler needs, and it is well located. The attention at breakfast is courteous, efficient, and friendly. Room 404 has an unpleasant sliding bathroom door arrangement, and a shower which we dare you to use without wetting the floor outside the shower area. Apart from those two deatails and a very soft mattress, everything was great.

Except, of course, the parking. Don't be crazy. Leave your car far, far away. Buy a bus pass and enjoy the finest in public transit.
