Park Inn by Radisson Oslo
Ranked #25 of 102 Hotels in Oslo
Reviewed 2 September 2014

Park Inn in Oslo (Oslo Centre) was real value for money for us. We chose it because of really central location in Oslo (<5 minutes by foot to anything in the city centre or to a major bus/subway stop and competitive price.
Room was fine, a bit small, but that's Norway. Everything was provided as requested (including allergy-free bed linens and pillows). Free continental breakfast (a typical one for any hotel in Scandinavia) for everybody and free WiFi are also standard here. Check-in/-out procedure was simple and quick. And to top it, you can collect some miles for many frequent flyer programmes or for Radisson's loyalty club. 5/5 from me and I'll use it when I will definitely visit Oslo next time.

Room Tip: Any room will do its job.

This is a very typical Scandinavian style hotel (at least from the few I have experienced). Its not luxurious - at least by Asian standards, but is clean, functional and in a good location. You can walk to the central Oslo station in about 10 minutes, and it is on a tram route for further exploring. Room was clean - double bed style with two single duvets. Bathroom with underfloor heating and a good shower. No wardrobe, but some hanging space for a few items. Breakfast was filling an plentiful - although the breakfast room can be busy - so be prepared to share tables and relax about it. There is a small bar in the lobby with some comfortable sofa seating. Good option if you want somewhere central for a city break in Oslo and in general Norway is quite an expensive place so this was a decent deal.

We caught the Airport Express train to Oslo Sentral station and were able to walk from station to hotel with our luggage in 15 minutes, a definite bonus.
Hotel looks quite new, rooms were spacious and clean, excellent breakfast buffet was served.
Our room overlooked the road but with double glazing on windows it was very quiet when windows were closed.
Would recommend this hotel and stay again.
Tip: Airport Express train is very expensive. If you use local train it is half the price and if you are a Senior you get another 50% off. Time difference is only about five minutes.

Good location and very tasty breakfast, there were many many options to choose from and the service was quite efficient.
We were given a room meant for disabled people, so we got quite a big room, it was connected to another room by a door, thankfully we didn't hear any noise from the other room.
The bathroom was quite big but the shower curtain didn't block all the water from the shower, quite a mess.
The night we checked in, the hotel staff at the reception was not overly friendly but they were professional. The day staff was really friendly and allowed us to keep our bags while we went exploring Oslo. No complaints on the wifi.
I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located to tour Oslo by foot. Rooms are small but well equiped, most of them have no view at all but Oslo is not a city to stay in. Breakfast is very complete but as the dinner is not big enough it gets crowded.
The only negative thing about this hotel is the staff from reception. They dont make the minimum effort to be nice, help you or give dome advise.
The rest is perfect.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the city centrum and is a 15 minutes walk from the central railway station. The cheapest way to get from the airport to the city is by the "slow" train ( slow is as opposed to the Flytoget express train). With the Norwegian prices, please note that this may be as much as what you pay for a taxi in some European cities! therefore, staying next to the central station makes sense if you plan to go elsewhere in Norway by train. Like in many hotels in Norway, check in is at 3pm, so you may need to plan your arrival. The rooms are spacious, but don't expect cupboards etc. You do get some clothes hangars though. rooms have electric irons and an ironing board. curtains are thick which is required in Norway. Beds are comfortable and baths are spacious and clean. Coffee/ tea is available in the room. I think there is some outsourced room service which we did not try. windows may have to be closed for the road facing rooms to keep out the noise from the street. Breakfast is lavish with lots of fruit , bread, cold meat, hard and soft boiled eggs juice and oh!; pate!

Lifts are spacious for your luggage. the lobby has a bar too. Wifi is free, but only one device at a time :(. Should have allowed at least 2 devices for a double occupancy. on the whole a good hotel which i'd definitely recommend.

A friend and I had a weekend of sightseeing in the Winter in Oslo, and having only a couple of days to see everything we didn't want to waste time travelling everyday. The Park Inn is perfectly located to allow this. Just a couple of mins from the underground metro station and numerous tram stops, you're seconds away from lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

You're also only five minute's walk from the harbour where you can take sightseeing boats and ferries to places such at Bygdoy.

The hotel itself is immaculate, with excellent service from the staff (who all speak English). The room, while not huge, is very well presented. Despite being in a busy area, the rooms were very quiet (ours had a streetview) and we had a great couple of nights' sleep.

Can't recommend this place enough.
