“Quite an interesting visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

The building is fantastic. The possibility of climbing over the roof to the top was a wonderful idea and not tiring. The view is great even with that part of the city under construction.
Inside the spaces are huge but friendly. We liked so much the building and the sunset that we ended up having a salad and a flute of champaign. Do recommend the visit.

“Just next to the central station!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

I visited the Oslo Opera House in the mid July.
The design is innovative and grand.
The price for a concert ticket is reasonable. But I didn't go for a concert as all tickets were sold out ;(.
There is a shop selling some CDs and souvenirs.
I saw Wagner, Brahms Collection there.
They also sell postcard with stamps.
This Oslo Opera House is near the Oslo Central Station so that it's worth going!
It just takes less than 10minutes for you to walk from the station to the opera house.
There are also some guided tours and entrance fee is cheap. There are Norwegian and English sections, please make sure you choose the correct one as the time slot for each language is different.

“Great walk on the building, don't bother about going inside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

Definitely a different experience of walking on the building and looking at the harbour - great view!

Due to the fact we went in the height on winter, my wife and I retreated inside expecting something architecture or somethings inside, but warmth - no, nothing, just like your usual high-end opera.

Despite this, still a must for any traveler - you have to walk on the Oslo opera house!

“Fun to walk on the Oslo Opera House”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

We visited the Oslo Opera House in early October. It was fun to walk on the "iceberg"! The building has a fun design. We did not have tickets for a performance so we did not see the actual auditorium, but walked around the building on top for good views of Oslo. Walking around was free!

“Walk all over the Opera”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Most people think of Opera buildings as places to see great performances. Most people visiting the opera in Oslo will only enjoy walking all over the roof of the building taking in splendid views of the Oslofjord and the new, modern architecture in the area. Great place to visit at sunset, and in the summer you'll find people sunbathing all over the building.
