This museum is well worth a visit, I had no idea they had original Viking ships here. I really enjoyed this place. Take the time and go.

“How did the Vikings do it?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2012

In principle an exhibition of rotting ships does not sound very much. And the museum has a very traditional lay out. But somehow the whole thing works and gives a real senses of the lives, the bravery and the adaptability of these people successfully risking their lives nearly a millennium ago

“A Must-See Musuem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2012

If you have time to visit only one museum in Oslo, this is the one. The exhibition of the three ships and their burial contents is fabulous. The technologies and craftsmanship that went into the design and building of these ships is incredible.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2012

This is the second visit to the Vikingskiphuset and it still amazes me as to how utterly cool it is to be able to see this part of Viking history. The carvings are phenomenal. Thanks to the clay that they used when they buried these ships, we are all able to see this. Highly recommend this museum.

“Real Viking Ships!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2012

Here's your chance to see (parts of) three real Viking ships and the treasures found within them! Quite impressive :) but don't schedule a long visit.. an hour will be more than enough to see all there is to see properly :)
