Just by the train station and so tall you can hardly miss it. Service is pretty awful- have colleagues who stay there 3 times a month and have ridiculous amount of points yet even they don't seem to get more than a cursory grunt.

Room are utilitarian but you would expect more for the money.

If you are in Oslo with work the Continental is a bit better (nice rooms and better service though is going through a much needed refurb at the moment). Only good thing about the radisson is i'm told the points are excellent.

Room Tip: higher is better

We spent here one night. The situation is perfect just by the train station, but the place does not get noisy.
Reception was good, although we asked for a double bed and they gave is a twin us. Bathroom renovated and rooms comfortable and clean.
The breakfast was good; juices, coffee and tea, different kind of breads, yogurts to choose, eggs and sausages, cheese ham. It was more that I expected.
The service was very good. There is also sauna, sport centre and swimming pool that you can use for free.
Oslo was very nice, really enjoyed our stay there.

The check in desk at this hotel is disorganized and understaffed. I waited for ages to check in and when I went to check out they told me I couldnt because the computer system had problems resulting in the screen freezing on the details of my room. They wanted me to leave and trust them to process my bill later when they would email me a receipt. I said absolutely not. The rooms are small, dark and over half the light bulbs didnt work. The bathroom tiles need regritting. There are no shower caps in the rooms and you wait ages for one to be delivered when you ask for one. Possibly the worst feature of this hotel however is the Irish bar. The main restauarant doesnt bother to open on Monday nights so you are left having to eat either in the lobby bar watching the queues of people waiting to check in or you have to eat in the Irish bar which smells of cigarette smoke, has sticky unclean tables and is dark and lacking in any atmosphere at all. I ordered a steak and it was so chewy I could barely swallow it. Breakfast is a shambles with low quality mass yoghurt (no individual pots), a poor range of largely tinned fruit and you have to make your own tea. The place is chaotic and not at all relaxing. Overall if you have any option to stay anyplace other than at this hotel you should take it.

From my experience so far, it seems Norway is not blessed with amazing hotels, everything I have found to date seems overpriced and tired/tatty looking. I'm pleased to say that the Radisson Blu Plaza Oslo probably comes out on top as the overall best hotel I have stayed in so far in Norway.

The building has a huge presence, 37 floors high, towering over Central Station and the centre of Oslo. This prominent location does make the hotel rather popular, and I found the lobby area/reception very busy at all times of day, as were the lifts/lobby bar/breakfast room. I did not visit the top floor restaurant and bar or the gym and pool situated near the top of the building.

All of the staff I encountered were warm, friendly and efficient, always good to experience that in hotels.

The room was maybe showing signs of age, but everything was in good working order and the cleaners here work hard, top marks for cleanliness.

I would be happy to stay here again next time I am in Oslo.

Room Tip: Ask for as high as possible for the views!

This is an old hotel, and it shows. Old stained carpets everywhere.

The rooms are small and not at all corresponding to the prize you pay for them. There are much better alternatives, that are much cheaper than this hotel.

The bathroom was dirty. The carpet smelled. The bed smelled of many years of use. Several of the ligths in the room, was not funtioning, either the light bulb needed changing or there was something seriously wrong with the electricity.

Very Nice hotel close to/in city center. Few step outside the bus and trainstation and there it is. Very Nice rooms and Nice staff. If u get a room high up u can see all of Oslo from yr room. We stayed on the 22 nd floor. Room was clean and quit big.
Breakfast was included and it was one of the best breakfastbuffet i have ever been eating from.
4 minute walk and you are in the Bolton of Carl Johan.
Very much recommended

Stayed here a while ago now, it was a great location giving easy access to all the central shops/restaurants/harbour and close to the station. The rooms are very standard, clean and functional. A nice and convenient hotel for a weekend in Oslo.
