Stayed there one night in April 2014. Small rooms, but quite ok. What gives high scoore here is the amazing breakfast that was exceptionally good. This is probably the best I've ever seen in Europe! Scandic Hotel Eddekoppen has long been the best breakfast in Oslo, but here's a worthy competitor.
Extra points for nice breakfast staff and especially a gentleman named "Knut" which was a whirlwind to clean and fix most things. Got served coffee twice at the table, which is also a big plus.
Price as expected in a big city.
Perfect location.

Room Tip: High, a little less noise there.

This hotel has a very good location, very close to the railway station, metro station, and you can walk to most of the sights and public offices in central Oslo. The reception and the public areas are well maintained, but there are many rooms in which are old and needs some work. The rooms are also very different, in which some are ok in size, and other are a bit small in Norwegian standards.
The level of service is what you would expect in a four star hotel, but not more than that. The Breakfast is also average by Norwegian standards.
There are no iron in the rooms, and no few toiletries in the room.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the entrance can be a bit less quieter, because of the tram and noise form people

I stayed for one night in early March and prefer this hotel to Royal Christiania across the street, mainly because of room decor and breakfast. The service is good and the location obviously great in both hotels. The breakfast area is nice, not overcrowded, with a great choice of food (and newspapers too). Will be back!

The hotel is well located for the Central Station and therefore the airport express trains. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The conference facilities again are functional.
The best thing about the hotel though is it's location - close to the harbour bars and restaurants and easy to het to and from the airport.

Location right across the street from Oslo's Central Station (with airport train also) is ideal, and tram, bus and metro stops in front of the hotel's entrance. But in all other respects this is an average hotel.
It seems that the hotel is made up of several buildings with steps and stairs between the parts. Finding your room is like walking in a maze. But luckily there are signs in the corridors.
I got a single room with sloping ceiling on the top floor. The view was right into a concrete wall of the neighboring house. One window was slightly open, and could not be closed completely because the handle was missing. Bathroom was ok but the shower area was small. There were some stains on the shelf by the sink, and generally the cleaning could have been better. Breakfast was good and varied, but not the wide selection found at many other Rica Hotels in Norway. Pleasant and attentive staff both in reception and breakfast room. OK hotel for one night, but not recommended for long stays.

I am not sure what to say. This is the seceond time i stay at this hotel - and the Price is somewhat the main reason - and the location. The rooms are small and could need an update. First time I recall having a very dark room - this time I had a room at 4th floor towards the Courtyard - rather calm and OK. The room had a 80 cm wide bed - which is just below what I prefer. OK internet connection - OK breakfast and perfect location. So why not above average? Because of the look, feel and need for an update...

Room Tip: Choose a room on 4th floow and avoid rooms towards the street

Somehow I like this hotel even though it is not that fancy. It is right in the centre of Oslo, next to the central train station. The service and breakfast is really good. The beds are comfortable. Thats it.
