“Great Location, Good Service”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

This Hotel is situated only a few hundred metres from the Stortinget (parliament) in Oslo. It is very very central. That beign said, Oslo city centre is not very big and any hotel within this area is very convenient and walkable. It took me about 15 minutes leisurely walk from the Central train station to the hotel. The nearer train station though, would be the National Theatre Station.
THis is my 3rd time to Oslo and I finally decided to stay here for a night rather than making it a day trip.

Its less than 5 minutes walk from the tourist strip of Karl's Johan Street, 10 minutes to the Presidential palace, 15-20 minutes walk to the world famous Oslo Opera House, which is facing the fjord. about 10-15 minutes train ride to the must-see Frogner Park.

The check in was fast and friendly. I was utilising my free night stay with Rica Park Hotels to book this hotel. The room I had was facing the street outside the hotel (think none of them have a good view, the hotel is located within the old city) Rooms vere cozy and the showers were great. Beds were a little too soft for my liking, as I prefer a firm bed.

Breakfast is in Norway, Oslo, or Rica Hotels is something I have come to expect after many visits to the wonderful country. They have a good selection of cold food as well as hot food for Asians like me, who must have something warm to eat.

All in all, its a nice hotel located centrally. I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

The rooms was nice and clean. The breakfast buffeet was ok. A little noisy and not so much room. The beds was ok, did sleep well there. The hotel had a nice location to things around. We didnt stay to much at the hotel so cant say to much about it. But we had a nice time there.

This hotel is very centrally located. It's one of the limited hotels that would allow 3 adults in a room so we were provided with an extra bed. It cluttered the room a bit but there was still space to walk around. The only grouse was that the window opened into the restaurant below. I would have preferred an outdoor view. However the location was perfect- we took the train from the airport and dragged our luggage from the station. Breakfast had a great spread and the staff at the reception and at breakfast were really friendly and helpful . Also there was free internet which to me was a bonus.

No outside windows. They face inside towards the dining area. The room was warm and I could not cool it down. They had my room ready to go when we got there. Very helpful staff and breakfast was great. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for a night to participate in the Oslo Marathon. Checkin went smoothe, got a room on the 4th floor. The only problem was that the bathroom wasn't clean. there was dust and "soapmarks" beside the sink.
We told the people in the reception, and they sent someone to take care of it right away. But that didn't help much!.
Breakfast was good, allthough the breakfast area is a little small for this size of hotel.
On the upside. The hotel offered a room where I could take a shower after the marathon. (this was at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, so I had of course checked out hour ago).

I stayed at the Rica Victoria Hotel while on a short work trip. It was a 3-star hotel at best. The rooms are actually a lot nicer than what the plain and uninviting lobby might lead you to believe – though it is still a bit weathered. My room was small but after poking around, it turned out that it was connected to its own separate (and very large) living room area (there were unfortunately stains on the windows). The hotel is well located within walking distance of the National Theatre, Oslo harbor and the Norwegian Parliament Building.

Not a bad budget stay if you're not particularly fussy. Breakfast was also pretty good.

We stayed for 2 nights from 24 to 26th August 13.
It has friendly staff, room size is not bad with all basic amenities.
Breakfast was excellent even for vegetarians like us.
All good locations are at walking distance.
