“Very central location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2014

This is a hotel for one or max. two nights. Fine breakfast buffet, friendly staff and very central location. Not much fuss, but I didn't need that either. If you visit Oslo for a romantic weekend, I'd find a more suitable hotel than this. But for the individual traveler or a short stay, this is recommendable.

Taking the price into considderation, I suppose this hotel is OK, but it is definately not more than that. The lobby made me seriously worried when I walked in. Rooms are perfectly fine, though and spotlessly clean with heated bathroom floors <3. But the internet is so bad even writing this review is a bit of a project, not to mention making a Skype call.

Very good location, right beside Karl Johan street. Not impressive reception. Polite staff. Small room. The worst is the bed, too soft. Feel like you are drowning in the bed. My back hurts the next morning. Excellent breakfast buffet.

yes the room and bathroom are small, it felt more like a cabin on a cross channel ferry, but it was clean, cosy and comfortable and I certainly wasn`t in Oslo to sit in my room. Free wifi, the password is given to you on your room key when you check in. The location is superb, a 2 minute walk from the central bus and train station, just off the main shopping street. Oslo is compact so everything is walking distance. it felt safe in the area despite the occasional spaced out junkie around the centre - but you see that in every city in the world
Breakfast was excellent, a wonderful spread - cereals, breads, salads and cold cuts, frankfurter style sausages, scrambled or boiled eggs, delicious mini rosti potatoes, fruit - better than some 4 and 5 star hotels I`ve been to!

The only reason you would book this hotel is price. There are equally well placed hotels in the area.So don't moan about the facilities. The hotel is clean, staff friendly, breakfast superb and by Norwegian standards more than covers the cost of the room. You might not be able to swing a cat in the bathroom but I didn't take one but for the purposes of a bathroom it was more than sufficient. To conclude an excellent stopover in an otherwise overpriced city, well done thon

We have stayed at this hotel one night. The room was as small as a mans cabin on a cheap cruise boat. It was probably meant for one person for some years ago and they just put a bed for two people for selling the for room two. The furniture and bathroom are calculated for one person and you need to accommodate. The TV was working with several channels and WIFI is free of charge. Our room face inwards and it was quite noisy as it was work in the courtyard. Breakfast was standard with enough food to choose. Coffee in the entrance is free of charge. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great for visiting the center of Oslo and the opera. We were not too disappointed by the hotel but the price they charge is too high for the standard they offer. We did not have a car but it does not seam easy to park in this area.
The Thai restaurant near by is worth a visit if you need to eat and do not want to go too far. It was recommended by the receptionist and we were pleased for the ratio quality and price, name of the restaurant " Risbolle Thai Restaurant"
