This hotel was a real find - for a central Oslo location, the rates are very very good. The staff are very helpful and polite and went out of their way to help - even offering me a free coffee and cake when I'd just finished the half marathon and arrived bedraggled in the lobby.
The rooms are small but well appointed - comfy beds and the Mac instead of a TV is an interesting idea. Decor was cool, only small quibble would be the lack of a shower curtain, which is just odd and leads to unforeseen wetroom effects!
Recommended.

Very friendly staff. The entire hotel has such a laidback easy-going good karma vibe, and this include the guests. Had a nice chat with fellow guests in the sauna. Gorgeous organic breakfast and amazingly cosy rooms. Just loved the bath products. The world music song on the screen saver is just so beautiful. Forgot to ask the title. Just a pity the spa section is so small and that the steam room didn't function properly. I also suggest that the hotel staff place a small room divider at the bath tub in the spa, so that one has some privacy whilst relaxing in the tub, otherwise people walk past on the way to the sauna.

The hotel purports itself as a fully sustainable hotel which means the decor looks like its in the forest. The rooms are extremely small to the extent, they fit the bed, a desk and thats about it. What might throw you is there's no tv but a giant Mac screen instead hooked up to the internet allowing you to stream your shows but who goes travelling for a tv in any case?

another odd thing is the lack of a shower curtain/screen so that the water from your shower can go anywhere which might irritate the next person to use it.

why did i give it 4 then? The staff is very friendly, i like the giant mac screen, the breakfast is great and the location is close enough to nationalteatret to make it centrally located.

Room Tip: They have connected rooms if you so wish. Make sure you ask for them.

There is only one such suite in the hotel which is a unique one. A bath tub right next tot the bed, a private sauna. Interestingly this suite is in the basement with view to the court, rather for people to look in that otherwise. I think it was worth the upgrade, Norway being as expensive as it is.

I find this "Organic" hotel labeling rather silly, but if you prefer organic pillows besides the food this place is for you.

Also interestingly there are two PC computers with big screens in this suite, no TV set. You can chat with the reception via Skype. How is that for an experience?

The hotel is situated walking distance from the city center, good location if you don't have a car.

We only stayed here one night, but it was a lovely change from the Thon hotel I had stayed it on a previous visit. Yes the rooms are small, but they have so much character that it was a welcome change from the sterility of the Thon. The materials are all natural, wood, leather and animal skins. I liked that, it made it seem like I was in Norway. All of this is juxtaposed with the iMac.........traditional meets ultra modern! Fun.
The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The location is very convenient to the train and to Akker Brygge, but it is in a quiet neighborhood setting that seemed very safe. After the hustle and bustle of the Clarion in Bergen, it was a nice place to stay.
