This is a good place to stay if you want to avoid the noise of the city. Definitely not central, it offers great views of Oslo and the room we stayed in was very spacious, with some fantastically comfortable armchairs. The hotel is up a hill overlooking the city and right next to the Holmenkollen ski jump and museum. It is about 20 minutes from the centre of town by overground metro on the line 1( it runs every 15-20 min). The metro station is a few minutes away down ( and then up) the hill, which may not suit older people.

I attended a two day conference at this hotel in February. I got a room in the new buidling. No view, but the room was in very good condition. The breakfast buffet was very good. Ok service. Only negative remark is that I had to wait for approx 30 min for a taxi in rush hour. This is not a central location in Oslo....

I was here for a meeting and I really appreciated this location. 15 minuts from the center by metro, located on top of a hill with a wonderful panorama on fiords it offers anything you need if you are there for work. Comfortable rooms where you can sleep well, spa, space outside to have a walk or or have a drink (alcohol is really expensive here as in all Norvey). Even the coffe (I am Italian and I need expresso) is good, and the breakfast is more than good! If you don't want to be in the center of the city this could be a choice.

This hotel is excellent. The location with views over Oslo and fjord is breathtaking. Next to a mind blowing (even in summer) ski jump. Room food and service were all excellent, and vg value especially in Norway. Despite other disparaging reviews this is no ordinary city hotel. Some people need to do their homework; it is not city centre and that is its charm. Public transport is very good and close by. Cant wait to visit again.

It was our last 2 days in Norway. We made reservation via Otel.com in affordable price.
We got a very good room (3123) in the newly portion of the hotel: Beautifully designed, functional and very comfortable double bed.
The outside of the hotel is nicely decorated inspired by the Gol (Norway) Church - from the 12 century. the inside is modern Luxurious. The hotel is a few kilometers from Oslo and above it, thus you get from hotel very nice view of Oslo.
Breakfast was stunning. A lot of selection of vegetables, fruits, fishes, eggs and cheese all of those were very delicious. In addition there was special servings of yogurt with fruit and coconut - I ate 2 of them. the service everywhere was perfect.
We also enjoy the swimming pool and Jacuzzi of the hotel.
In summary, This was perfect hotel to end our 11 days Norway vacation and we are strongly recommended to stay there.

Room Tip: Try to request the new portion of the hotel
