This hotel is centrally located in Oslo, a few minutes walk from the the metro from the Airport.(National Theatre)
Rooms very clean .Coffee/ tea making facility on the 2nd floor. Breakfasts lovely.
What made this hotel stand out for us was the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

We had been recommended this hotel by friends and we were not disappointed. We had a room on the top floor facing the courtyard as we had asked for a quiet room and although one those attic type rooms it was comfortable, spacious enough and quiet.

The reception staff were extremely helpful especially the lovely Dora who was a great help to us when our flight was suddenly cancelled.

Breakfast was very good and there was plenty on offer even when we arrived quite late a couple of mornings. The hotel has been nicely furnished with antiques and has a warm and friendly feel about it.

The location is excellent. About 10 minutes walk from the main train station and right near most of the main sights.

Plain but airy rooms. Windows to open. Spacious bathroom. OK breakfast. Friendly straff. Honest and good 3 star. Not expensive. A hotel with some memories of good old times. A gorgeous staircase lading to the upper floors. We stayed for two nights, with an open window at night. But no noise Even frem the main Karl Johan street.

BW Karl Johan is located in the absolute centre of Oslo, within walking distance of the central station, where the airport train arrives, and most other sights. There's plenty of restaurants, shopping centres and convenient stores nearby.

The hotel itself is clean and tidy, but doesn't offer much more than a room for the night. Breakfast is very average, probably because they don't have a "real" restaurant.

There's no gym, so if you plan on working out you better do it in your room or head out to nearby gyms. For you runners out there, Oslo is a beautiful city to explore by foot, and also challenging if you decide to head for the nearby hills. Do a couple of laps around the castle park, which is about 300 meters away from the hotel. Especially nice in summer time.

I normally book a standard room and always get a very small one. The prices in Oslo are steep, so you don't get much bang for your bucks.

Really friendly Helpful staff. Amazing location in the heart of Oslo. The Kings palace at one end of the street, parliament at the other and an ice skating rink opposite. Surrounded by restaurants, bars and theatres. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a real bonus. There was everything you could imagine including many local delicacies. All in all a cracking hotel and, in a generally expensive country, this was relatively inexpensive.
