“Could improve level of hygenic standard”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

This hotel is eager to correct mistakes. However on occations I have experienced the hygenic standard to be belowe my expectations. I have been met with a kind attitude when the problems have been addressed.

Since I can’t award 3.5 stars, I give it three because I really don’t think it is a four-star property. It is a decent business hotel located on the outskirts of Oslo but just steps from a Metro stop, from which it’s only about 15 minutes to the city center. There were some coffee shops, grocery and pharmacy nearby, but not much else.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the design was dated: my room had a Carnival theme, with beaded curtains and pleather modular furniture. It was always a little chilly and you couldn’t adjust the temperature from inside the room – you had to ask the front desk to do it. The bed was very comfortable overall. Wi-Fi was excellent throughout. The closet was a sort of mini walk-in setup and the trouser press was a nice extra.

I truly hated the bathroom. A swinging glass wall was the only thing that separated the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. If I stood too far away from the shower head, water got all over the floor. But if I stood too close, I ended up smacking my elbow against the support bar. I constantly had to remove the stopper from the sink because it wouldn’t drain otherwise.

The service was generally very friendly, if understaffed. It wasn’t easy to reach the front desk by telephone and they always seemed to be juggling several guests at the same time.

The meals routinely exceeded expectations. The buffets offered lots of variety of high quality. The tapas we had for a reception were very good and the steak we were served for a formal dinner was delicious. The meeting facilities were great, the meeting staff was extremely professional and efficient, and the coffee service was always well-stocked. For a meeting, I highly recommend this hotel. As simply a place to stay, there were some kinks here and there, but it was pleasant overall.

Nice location if visiting this part of Oslo, but unexperienced employees. Price did not match with the reservation. Room "worn". Parking facilities not as promised by central booking. The only reason for choosing this hotel is that there are few other in this area of Oslo.

The staff young and somewhat inexperienced, but ok, not more.
Room nice although bathroom had cracks in walls. It was also quite cold (no floor heating).
More than one TV channel did not function. CNN could not be received.
Breakfast buffet good but how can you serve everything else except bacon? When asking I was directed to chef in kitchen who with a not so friendly attitude took already cooked bacon and heated them up. A real low water mark! When giving the staff by departure the feedback no compensation or comment in a customer service direction was given. Common hotels! You have to start and interact with your guests!

Had a nice stay here as part of arranging a conference at the hotel.
Nothing fancy or spectacular, but nice & comfortable rooms overlooking the river, a good breakfast, nice restaurant for lunches and dinners (and a few nice alternatives too in the neighbourhood), and a bar area to hang out in. The conference area is quite large and consists of several meeting rooms of varying sizes spread over two floors.
The staff is mostly friendly and service-minded.
The main draw of the hotel is the location, i.e. convenient if you have business in this part of town. Parking in the garage is rather pricey, and the subway stops just across the street.
At ordinary prices, this hotel is not particularily good value for money. However, corporate rates and other deals may make it more attractive.

This is a very plain conventional Norwegian hotel. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing more than the basics. And heavily overpriced - more hotels should come to this area to create some competition. On the upside - you have a good bed, an average Norwegian hotel breakfast (which, by all means, is good). And that's it. What I miss is a water heater and some tea/coffee in the room and e.g. some light food in the evening, as several (cheaper!) hotels offer. When you switch on the tv you have to endure a minute or so with no-brains Radisson promotion with horrible music. Give me a break. Paying close to 2000 NOK for this is incredible - companies should become a bit more keen on what they pay for their employees' hotel stays.

This was a great hotel to stay in for a couple of days to visit Oslo. A little tube ride out of town but covered on the Oslo pass. Fantastic breakfast and beautifully quiet. The room was well appointed and warm, perhaps newer towels and a better shower head could be considered? All in all it represented excellent value for money and I'm sure we'd go back to this fantastic city!
