Description: Authentic Italian restaurant located right in the city center, just a few steps from the Central Station, the National Theatre and the main street. Fratellino Ristorante serves traditional Italian dishes from an open kitchen in a casual setting with friendly atmosphere - for lunch, dinner for two, or a party for up to 80 guests. The menu has well-known Italian dishes such as antipasti, frittata, meat and fish dishes, based on aromatic Mediterranean ingredients like Parma ham, mozzarella, artichokes, pine nuts and sun-ripened tomatoes in savory combinations. Pizza and pasta are obviously well represented and includes classics such as Quattro Stagioni, Capricciosa, Carbonara, and Lasagna. In Fratellino Ristorante, you might find yourself dreaming of the Mediterranean while enjoying Pollo Riepieno, which is chicken stuffed with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, served with red wine sauce, or Risotto Ai Frutti Di Mare cooked with white wine, shrimp, fish, mussels, squid and crustaceans. Benvenuti!

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

We went out to spend a Groupon voucher. Had a 3 course menu. Delicious carpaccio, a generous plate of beef fillet, and the best tiramisu to be had on this side of the alps. Nice and friendly service. Quiet and spacious.

“Reasonable”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

The food selection and its quality are reasonable. Location is very good. Inside, it looks attractive, clean, and modern. Service is efficient and friendly. It looks like they are busier between 5 and 7 pm, and less much busy after that. The starters are overpriced. The sea food pasta, lamb chops, and the tortellini looked attractive, but they were average. The dessert selection was limited, and also average. Prices are comparable to what you would expect in Oslo.

“Great service - delicious food”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

My girlfriend and I picked up a GroupOn-deal and went to try out this new restaurant near Oslo City hall. The place is a little too spacious for an Italian place, but the food is Great and the service even better. Put in a little paolo conte on the speakers in stead of random latino music, and I'm happy to go back any time. A special thanks to our swedish and french-italian waiters!

“Pleasantly up-market”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

We had a bought a groupon deal, and were not expecting anything too exciting, but were pleasantly surprised by this place. Roomy, elegant interior. Very attentive service from the French-Italian waiter and his Swedish colleague. Our starter was a generous beef carpaccio with parmesan cheese. Main course was a tender filet of beef with a red wine sauce and mixed vegetables. My only complaint here was that the potatoes should have had an extra 5-10 min. in the oven - they were slightly hard.
Dessert was a beautiful tasting and presented tiramisu.
All in all a very positive experience which we recommend to all.
