Description: Experience a different culinary adventure in the heart of Oslo at Den Glade Gris (The Happy Pig)! We are dedicated to delivering a unique dining experience, focusing on delicious dishes made from pork. Our signature dish is the succulent, long-cooked pig knuckle, prepared with passion using the slow-cooking method. We take our time to marinate and slow-cook the food for several days, resulting in plenty of flavour and tender meat. Our kitchen proudly presents honest and rustic Norwegian cuisine, served with a touch of charm. We offer a wide selection of beers, collaborating with breweries across the country to ensure an impressive variety. The service is intended to be excellent but not extravagant, presented with a cheerful demeanor and a twinkle in the eye. Welcome to a taste experience you won't soon forget!

Another trip advisor recommendation and again we weren't disappointed. Booked online - very easy. Nice relaxed dining with a good fun team running the show. Portions are huge - be warned. We didn't have the knuckle but it looked sooooo good - wish we had! It's very large and they are obviously very used to people sharing dishes. Also very knowledgeable about what to drink with each dish - beer, cider or wine. We sat outside on a pleasant warm Oslo evening and passed away a couple of very happy hours being very happy pigs! Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Wide variety of beers. Main dishes consist of pork meals. Meet is well prepared and delicious. Meals feel like homemade with love. Prices are average for Oslo. Main dishes aprox. 20eur. Tips are added to Bill.

The happy pig is a restaurant out of denmark and we tried it for lunch because it was so close to our hotel. I was so glad we did. My wife had the shrimps and lobster open sandwich and i had the pulled pork sandwich. They were both amazing food choices. I think this is the best pulled pork sandwich i ever had, nothing comes even close! The coleslaw that came with the pulled pork was fantastic and the fries were i think double fried. I dont know what they did to those fries but they tasted amazing. If you are craving pork dishes, definitely go here!

Sat outdoors on a sunny evening. St Olav's Gate is not a busy road. Menu mostly pork with a few fish dishes and main courses range from about 190Kr to 290Kr. Service quick and my pulled Pork bieber very nice with some excellent chips. Wine available by the glass about 100Kr and up for 150ml so expensive but not by local standards. Limited choice of deserts at about 95Kr but again well done. I had the excellent chocolate mouse and my friend's crème brulée with stout was tasty but not sure if the addition of stout improved it. Large choice of beers available.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! The best thing on the menu is the pork knuckles with lots of beer to choose from!
