I love this place. Been here many times. I'm born here and go often to this place. They have everything. Shops and restaurants. You can also in summertime go swimming. sunbathe or just sit and relax.

Probably one of the best sunsets I've seen in my life together with the ones on Copacabana and Legian beaches except for it was in freezing temperatures. And, according to locals they are rare and longer than in summer. Otherwise, this area is a convenient mix of a huge Coop supermarket if you want to grab a sandwich and enjoy your lunch sitting next to the water or fill up your fridge. Mind the steps though. There are no fences or any other barriers between you and the sea. Hence its easy to dip even in January. I dare you!:) There are actually some guys dipping in one of the pictures I'm posting. Also, there is a liqueur shop if you want to get a bottle of wine back to your hotel or airbnb as the supermarkets here only carry beer. Do check the working hours though. Naturally enough, there are a lot of restaurants, some of them mentioned on the Michelin list, a huge shopping center and all kinds of memorabilia left from the former shipyard together with the colorful redbrick buildings. Enjoy!
I crossed this place in the morning at the end of the cold December. Beautiful view of the pier area with several restaurant still closed and coffee shop that are ready to receive visitors who want breakfast. From here ( Radhuplassen 3) you can take ferry to Bygdøy. At the end of Aker Brygge there are Astrup Fearnley Musset the private contemporary art museum and around it is Tjuvholmen Sculpture Park dedicated to international contemporary art. We can relax and enjoy the artworks as well as the beauty of the Oslofjord.
Beautiful promenade with many restaurants and modern architecture. It is the very nice place to sit, relax and watch. It is a nice view to Oslo City Hall from here.
We popped in here for lunch but there were only a handful of places actually open. Still it was a pleasant walk and there’s a good selection of restaurants.
A magnificent place in Oslo. The whole area is a collection from different architectural schools. A nice walking experience.
