Short walk with restaurants, ice cream (movenpick ice cream!), street food vendors, a convenience store at the end with reasonably drinks, and a museum at the end with very expensive public bathrooms at 2.50!
Worth a visit and easily accessible. Great restaurants and shops and can even get the ferry which, if you have a 24 hour travel ticket, these are included.
We visited here while on vacation from the US. The area was very nice, lots of restaurants and shopping. The area is very clean and I felt very safe at all times. This is close to the water front so you have a very nice view of the Oslo Fjords. You are able to take boats/cruises out so that you can enjoy the Fjords by water. We visited the day before the National Day, there were people enjoying themselves but it was not overly crowed.
A really lovely area of Oslo with wonderful architecture and modern art pieces all over the place. Brilliant.
I love this place. Been here many times. I'm born here and go often to this place. They have everything. Shops and restaurants. You can also in summertime go swimming. sunbathe or just sit and relax.
