Not open to the public when parliament is in session, but there are interesting free tours several times a week.

“Go early for the English guided tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2013

The guided tour shows a portion of the interior and it was quite interesting. Check the schedule before you go as it is only on Saturdays certain months of the year. Go early for the English tour. We went about 15 mins earlier and was asked to come back for the next English tour (which was about 3 hrs later), we ended up going for the next one which is conducted in Norwegian(due to time constraints) and did not understand a thing the guide said. Still, it was a good experience.

“Take the tour.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2013

Well worth the tour to get an understanding of the Norwegian political system. The tour guide was very knowledgable and gave a further insight into Norwegian history and how the monarchy and ten political system evolved.

The tour is free and is a first come first served basis. Max 30 to a tour. It takes around 1 hour.
