Just visited Homan with a friend. We did not have a reservation, but chose the restaurant based on its outdoor seating in the sun. It is a great spot for people watching as it is located in one of the busier shopping streets in downtown Oslo and the tables are facing the street.
I am always surprised to meet waiters working at Norwegian restaurant that does not speak Norwegian. Not a problem, just odd. Our waitress was nice and did her job, but nothing more.
We both enjoyed the Homan burger which was served with fries and a few onion rings. It was a nice burger, not the best burger I've ever had - but a decent one. The fries were extra crispy and the onion rings were tasty. It is a good spot for a lunch or dinner after shopping in nearby Bogstadveien and Hegdehaugsveien, and I will probably go back. Especially if they have an available table in the sun. Not sure if I would order the burger again though as it was very pricey at 196 NOK. Fortunately there were other items on the menu such as sandwiches and salads.
