The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. The service is impeccable!
The wine was way over the top! Fantastic wine, and to a very affordable price (specially with Norwegian prices in mind). The food was good, not great. Especially with the star in mind.
Please set of time to visit Bent Stiansens heart of food!

Thank vonlind

We had a business dinner here. This is a classic fine dining restaurant, do not expect a modern design. We had the 5 courses and a bottle of wine. There is variety in wine and service meets Michelins expectation. Overall a good experience

We had a two person romantic dinner in this restaurant, which is located in an old mansion with the dining areas set in different rooms. The atmosphere was old world charm, with high ceiling, drapery and crystal chandeliers, all done in good taste. As a Michelin star restaurant, the menu was impressively diverse and flexible. Unlike most Michelin that focuses on a culinary adventure entrusted in the hands of the chef, this place offered more down to earth fares with seasonal and local ingredients. It may not appear cutting edge but definitely felt both formal and homey at the same time. What was great about the place was that it allowed you to be flexible with the fixed course so you could add, deduct or substitute as you desired. A very different philosophy that the patrons could have some say of what to eat (which seems to be a rare thing nowadays in Michelin dining).
The drinking menu was incredible. We went for the craft beers and had several very interesting bottles from small local brewery, which are not readily available in US.
The service was the most impressive. The girl who served the two tables in our room was very attentive and knowledgeable about the foods and drinks sources in Norway. Personal yet completely professional. She even made recommendation for our lunch next day.
This restaurant was actually our second choice as we normally prefer a more contemporary setting but we couldn't get in the other place we intended to go, but we were very glad that it actually happened as we ended up having a great experience.

This one star michelin restaurant is my favourite restaurant in Oslo. I had the tasting menu (5 courses NOK 1135), and everything was fantastic. It was possible for me to change the main course in the menu from lamb to turbot at no additional cost. Wine prices are fair, and service is friendly and attentive.
