Situated in Hoyers Hotel, downtown Skien, this is a most recommendable pick if you want good food and good service in a nice, oldish atmosphere. The hotel itself is one of Norway's oldest, with a history dating back to ca 1850, and the restaurant is named after an owner from that time. The hotel even has its own ghost.
The menu is not exquisite, but what you get, is of the best quality - including the desserts. For Norway, it's not very pricey.
