“This is a good hotel ...”

... not a fine hotel, but it passes in all the relevant categories: Safety, communications, food, and so forth. It would get another star for a better bed and better and more pillows. The location is good and by comparison to similar facilities in Kristiansand it is a good choice. Recommended.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better.

Our company sent me to Kristiansand for business/training and this hotel was arranged for us by our local colleagues. The hotel offers spacious and well maintain conference rooms for business conferences and such.

The hostess at the front desk were very nice during our whole stay in the hotel. Everyone that has been there before, spoke wonderful things about the quality and variety of the breakfast and it was true. I was very please with all the choices they had to offer.

I thought the rooms were very nice, with lots of room. The bed was excellent. There is wifi in all the rooms, some of my colleagues complain about how weak the connection was, but I didn't have any problems at all. The bathroom is really small and when you seat in the toilet you might feel like the wall is pushing you a bit. I'd say the hotel needs to figure out something to avoid the floor getting lots of water after you have taken a shower. In each floor hall there are cabinets where you can find an iron in case you needed. Very few channels available in the TV, most of them you will have to pay for.

Lunches during our stay were ok. Our business party included people from India and because of their beliefs they couldn't eat meat. You don't have choices for lunch, and I understand you are served what the host has arranged for you, but the hotel must be prepared to accommodate a fair request. When our colleagues from India asked for fish instead of meat, they didn't look to pleased. Since we were there for 5-6 days, you will think they will make note of this fact but they did not - and continue serving meat to this people. Our host shared some of the fault for this, not just the hotel.

Be careful of the snack bar in your room, the prices are outrageous...but after all you are in Norway...what else can you expect! Our company paid for the hotel ofcourse, but if i were to be traveling in vacation I would look for other choices.

In overall, I had a good experience. Nice hotel, friendly employees, excellent breakfast and very good location.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel. Lots of noise in front rooms!!

I`m just completing a three week stay at The Hotel Norge in Kristiansand. Myself and two colleagues were staying here with work. Our total bill came to well over £7000 so to start off with it wasn`t a cheap visit. As you can imagine being here for three weeks means you will at some point have to use some of the hotels services such as the laundry service!! Most of the stuff I put in was the usual, pants socks workshirts and work trousers etc. The stuff was returned, done beautifully I must say, but when I went to check out the hotel I think you can imagine my surprise when I was handed a bill of, Wait for it, £160 for 18 items. It was nearly £5 to was a pair of socks. I worked it out and only had two pairs of jeans and 1 shirt of any value in there, the rest were work things. I would have been much cheaper to have thrown all my stuff away and bought new gear. This hotel is pleasant enough but I`m surprised they don`t have an oxygen meter in the room to charge you for every breath you take. Don`t get caught either by what looks like a welcome pack for you. Folded very neatly under all the stuff is a price list which appears after you have eaten your way through some of the stuff with prices that would make your eyes water. If you are coming here be prepared to be turned upside down and shaken by the ankles so every last bit change falls out your pockets. You have been warned people, about this reasonable but by no means outstanding hotel, unlike ourselves who weren`t regarding the laundry service.

Dear guest,

Than you for your feedback.
Unfortunatly the dry cleaning is very expensive in Norway. We use a company outside the hotel for the dry cleaning and I am sorry if you did not receive the correct information regarding the prices. However the hotel offers a laundry service where you pay 75 NOK to wash and dry your clothes yourself. This is located in the 7th floor.

We are glad to hear that most of your stay was satisfying.

Best regards

Had a very good one night stay at this hotel i Kristiansand which I didn't know excisted! First time I visit this town for other purposes than holiday/transit to other holiday destinations so this time I wasn't involved in the "logistics". :)

Got a very nice room on the 5th flloor which had this small one-room suit look alike. Everything was clean and well organized. No fuzz with wireless internet, just straight on! Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

This is a hotel I would like to come back to whatever purpose!

Room Tip: 5th floor facing back-yard with private balcony.

This was the last hotel in which we stayed during a 10 day trip to Norway. It was easy to get to from the train station. The staff is friendly, and have good suggestions but don't rely on them for directions. Hotel rooms were clean, quiet and sufficiently sized rooms. Breakfast was really excellent. This hotel has air conditioning and it works well. Elevators are tiny. We would stay here again. No swimming pool.

Hotel Norge is a clean, well-functioning and straightforward hotel. Centrally located. Not quite up-to-date, but well kept. Very nice breakfast and welcoming staff. A nice hotel, but maybe not the best in town? Quite average Norwegian standard and a safe choice, I suppose.
