“Tasty, but pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

Even by Norwegian standars, this dinner seemed expensive.
However, the food was good and the service was friendly and efficient.
The menu was a bit limited, and one of our favourite dishes (Rogan Josh) was not available.

“Dry meat and boring taste”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

The service was ok but the food was disappointing, we ordered the lamb and tikka chicken and it was dry and few pieces served with to much rice and a mix of raw vegetables. The nanbread was tasteless. I have eaten better and cheaper indian before.

“Great food for children”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

We visited Mother India because of the T.A.reviews, and we were absolutely satisfied with the food. Great taste and all the classical Indian Food. The service was also great. We were a bit concerned with the price, as we often eat Indian food around the world, and I think this was really expensive compared to other places. But I must admit that few of our comparison restaurants are Norwegian, so that's probably some of the reason.Norway is expensive! The best part of this meal was the children menu. Our kids love the Tikka Masala, and here they got this really delicious plate with all kinds of raw vegetables (salad, cucumber, carrot, peppers, tomato, onion) and different fruits following a children friendly Tikka Masala. Resulting in a really healthy and delicious meal for children.

“Tasty, but overrated and overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Unfortunately the Indian food market in Kristiansand is not big. Actually this is the only place you get a good Indian meal. Thats probably why they can push the prices so high. The food is good, but it is not excellent. Also for the prices, you should have gotten a lot more food.

Well, i will go back but i wish there was a cheaper alternative....

“Allways visiting Mother India when in Kristiansand.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

Good value, good atmosphere and the food is always first class.
Waiters always helpful and honest regarding spiciness of the food :-)
You´ll get what you order, you can have some really spicy stuff if you like.
