So this is my second time in Norway. I took the train from the airport and literally crossed the road and there was the hotel. The atrium reception is stunning with some fantastic pieces of art. The bar is well stocked with good whisky. The hotel is in the more modern part of town and the trendy restaurants are just across a footbridge.
My room was very spacious and clean. BUT the biggest think was the breakfast. I've never seen anything like it and it was included in the price. Huge amounts of fish, meats, cheeses, a coffee and tea bar, pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit smoothies, fruit juices etc. etc. Simply delicious

Room Tip: Get a corner room in the conference section facing the marina

Nice hotel With superb loaction Close to the Railway station, the restaurants along the harbour and only five minutes walk to the city center. The hotel is fresh with clean rooms in modern style. More business- than cozy style. The bar is OK but I recomend to spend two minutes walk to "Solsiden" where you have bars and restaurants in all categories. The breakfast is one reason alone to book a night at this hotel. Fresh tastes and enormous variation. They have own chefs at omelet- and cheesestations, and you can ordre coffee from a barista. The breakfast is named "Best hotel breakfast i Norway" everey year for the last eight years...

Room Tip: The hotel has two sections. Specify a room in the section closest to the reception if possible. This will save you five minutes walk from the room to the reception and breakfast.

But: the bathroom was poorly cleaned.
I this is what they do on the rest of the hotel i have concerns. Very bad hygiene.

Great breakfast and staff.
I like it, but the cleaners does clearly not like their job.

We were put here by the Hurtigruten Cruise Line at the end of our 10 day "Hunting the (Northern) Lights" cruise. It is very convenient to the quay, the railway station and the town center. Even a comfortable walking distance to the Nidaros Cathedral, lots of shops and restaurants.
Our rooms were spacious by European standards, clean, with comfortable beds, good lighting and convenient facilities in the bathroom. The hotel features two restaurants and a full bar, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. Trondheim is a lovely old city with lots of waterways. You don't want to be looking out your window at a wall and a rooftop.
