the rooms in this hostel are very basic, just to beds and a sink, and apparently they are pretty old, too - in the beginning I was a little disappointed, because Singsaker Sommerhotell is not that much cheaper than other very beautiful hotels I stayed in, but they more than make up for that with a nice atmosphere and a wonderful breakfast. I re ad that one of the other reviewers wrote that breakfast was simple, and I feel the need to clarify what "simple" in that case means: all sorts of tea and juices, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, hard-boiled eggs, different types of bread, jam, honey, fish, fruit, cheese, ham, beef salad, vegetable aspic... also, you can buy a packed lunch at a reasonable price, and they sell drinks and ice cream at the hotel. everything was absolutely spotless, from the rooms to the public areas and the shared bathrooms. The location is quite good, too - very green and a nice, short walk away from all the main attractions of the city; the walk back up, on the other hand, is not that pleasant because it´s rather steep, but still, just ten minutes to walk, so that´s okay. Overall, I´d stay here again - it´s expensive, but still cheaper than most other hotels in Norway.
