We spent two nights in Bergen after a very busy and intense period at work. This calm and charming accomodation and welcoming staff were exactly what we needed. We highly reccomend Klosterhagen. We'll come back....
We had a lovely weekend walking around Bergen discovering the city. This hotel is nicely situated, not far from the most interesting landmarks of the city.

The home made breakfast gave us a good start before exploring the city.

My new favorite in Bergen! The hotel is in a quiet street still centrally located. My (double) room was a bit small, but functional. Very comfortable bed and great rain drop shower. Nice to be able to open the windows to let fresh air in without any noise for the outside... I really enjoyed breakfast. Things like freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade chesses and pâtés, homemade yoghurt and granola. Good drip-coffee and an espresso machine available (I did not try it). The hotel has a nice atmosphere and I’ll definitely return. Be aware that they only have 15 rooms so book ahead as they often(?) fully booked.

Room Tip: My room (205) was faced towares the back yard and was quiet.. But the streeet is not very buissy so...

Disembarked after a course on the Hurtigruten to spend a day in Bergen. Short walk from the dock past nice wooden houses up a smau. Friendly staff, clean small room, well equiped. One of the best breakfasts with homecured salmon, trout and cod. Good selection of teas and homemade breads Cudos to this trainee hotel! I would give you six stars if TA had them.

My wife and I stayed three nights in the Kolosterhagen Hotel, before and after a Hertigruten cruise. The hotel is not in the center of Bergen, but is close to the piers where the cruise ships dock. It is about a 15 minute walk to town center. This is a small hotel, and we found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. The rooms were small, but clean. The breakfasts were good with lots of homemade bread and jams. We enjoyed Bergen, as it is colorful, clean, and modern. Be prepared for extremely wet weather. We walked the town, took the funicular up the mountain for good views of the city, and enjoyed some good meals. We recommend this hotel especially if you are taking one of the Herigruten ships. We were able to tote our bags down the hill and walk a block to board., Since we were traveling for two months and had lots of luggage the hotel stored the pieces we didn't need for the 11 days we were on the ship. This hotel is a good choice for anyone staying a few days in Bergen.

A lovely, stylish, contemporary little hotel in a quiet, character-packed district of Bergen abut 10 minutes' walk from the fishmarket and Bryggen. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable and all just a straightforward 10 minute walk from the Hurtigruten terminal (downhill on your way to the boat!). If you are flying into Bergen, get the Flybussen to Comfort Hotel Holberg; then it's just a five-minute walk straight up the hill to Klosterhagen (vice versa on your departure). The staff are also very helpful about keeping luggage in a secure storeroom. All in all, this was a great find. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: North side overlooking the street outside. Great views.

The hotel is small and intimate, located in an old renovated building in a very quiet and charming area only 15 minutes walk from the train station in Bergen. My double room on the 3.floor was sparingly furnished, the bed was very comfortable, but there were no wardrobe, only two hangers on a rack. The room were small and had 2 skylights, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, both had lovely views. Free wifi, very clean room, a kettle for making coffee and tea, and a spacious bathroom made up for the lack of other ameneties. The hotel has no elevator, and the stairs are narrow and rather steep, so don`t bring to much luggage. Also, if you are a light sleeper, be prepared to use earplugs, the walls are very thin and the floors in the corridor are squeaky....
The breakfast contained of a nice and small selection of meat, fish, jam, yoghurt, homemade bread and fresh fruit, everything is locally produced, and the fresh orangjuice and coffee were superb! The hotel is run by ALF as a work training and work clarification project for people in need of assistance on their way back to an ordinary work life, so all the staff are part of this project and were very helpful and friendly.
If you are looking for something small and cosy, and don`t expect to much regarding ordinary hotel amenities and facilities, this hotel is a very good choice!

Hi!
Thanks for taking time to give this feedback.
Our building is over 100 year old, but where renovated 3 year ago. We are all the time trying to get better, and we have a plan to change some of the furnishers to fin wardrobe.
Next time juts bring a lot of luggage, we will bring it to your room.

Small and cozy 3 floors hotel near the compact city center, with good breakfast and helpful staff. This structure is integrated with the other houses on the street. There is no elevator in the building, but assistance is been offered to carry the luggage without the need to ask.

The hotel tend to upgrade advance reservation, and my room, on the third floor, was modern, spacious and very comfortable. WiFi is free all around, including in the room, just make sure you type the letters as written (block letters / small letters).

Whoever is sensitive to raindrops noise on the roof may not choose the top floor; to me it was rather refreshing after the heat and humidity of a typical Middle Eastern summer....

I highly recommend this hotel, which has fair prices regarding Bergen. I booked it through its web page well in advance, and the charging was made immediately :-(, unlike in other hotels, where the credit details were used only as an assurance as it should be....

I planned to leave the hotel in an early weekend morning, and evening before, I asked to pack for me a light breakfast. Receptionist asked me when I intend to eat breakfast, and told me once that there is no problem and breakfast will be ready as requested in the breakfast room. So it was: breakfast room was opened, earlier than expected, with a full breakfast to start the day. You will not find this kind of service in more luxury and expensive hotels.
