“Definitely the place to stay in Bergen!”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

Anne Helen's B&B was the perfect place for us to stay for our long weekend in Bergen. The whole house is decorated beautifully. You have the downstairs section all to yourself - a bedroom and bathrooom. The room is cosy and very comfortable with television and internet. There was jazz played during breakfasts and we thought the plates of different food supplied by Anne Helene would never stop arriving! The B&B is located in the best place in town - right by the sea. Anne Helene herself was a fantastic host. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone.

We arrived and were immediately made to feel welcome in this lovely house. There's lots of colour and objects and paintings all over the house, making it feel wonderfully cheerful and . The room is comfortable, and the bathroom is just next door. We had the most delicious breakfast in the morning, and would recommend this place to anyone else spending time in Bergen. It's the kind of interesting place we love to stay, and great value, to boot.

Room Tip: There's only one room - but it's lovely, so you can't go wrong!

Bergen is such a beautiful, friendly City. Norway is an expensive country to visit but what a bargain we found at Anne Helenes - The room was warm, tidy and comfy. The shower and bath area is huge and the B&B is located in a amazing area and within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was HUGE and the food was so fresh and tasty. Anne is such a colourful character and really made our time very enjoyable. I throughly loved my stay and will most definetely stay there again when I visit Bergen.

bergen is an expensive city but we found a great value stay at annehelene's. the location is very central and a few minutes walk from airport bus stop and historic bryggen. the room is cosy and impeccably laid out. there's even a mac laptop just for the guests' use. as there is only one guest room, it felt very private and we'd our own bathroom too. it was all very nice and warm as anne had the heat on HIGH. phew! breakfast was a feast! anne prepared cereals and milk, parma and melon, a huge plate of smoked salmon and assorted cold cuts, various fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs and local caviar, bread, good cheeses and delicious spreads. amazing! we were so full we didn't eat till dinner time. the b&b is done up in beautiful cheerful colours and is very eclectic. what a find :)

This is the best possible place to stay in Bergen.
There is one room at ground floor with its private bathroom.
The owner, Anne, is extremely kind and she does every effort to make you feel comfortable during your stay.
There is a computer for guests to connect to the internet in the guest room.
if you feel cold there is an excellent underfloor heating.
I would advise to choose to have breakfast there (NOK 100 per day) because it's very good and very abundant.

Room Tip: There is one room, you can't get it wrong; but it's very nice

Just needed a one night stay, without breakfast, and wanted to try Anne Helene`s B&B, after having read so many positive reviews. Here is another! The neighbourhood is simply adorable, with the old neat, nicely kept houses, typical for the city, with narrow streets of paved stones.
Although the B&B is close to everything, it`s incredibly quiet. You don`t hear a traffic sound for instance. The room and the bathroom are very well equiped to the least detail, everything functioning very well. And like many others have written before, the colours, the details are so beautiful and artistic.
This is a place I warmly can recommend. Next time I shall also try the breakfast!
