The hotel is very well located, only a 7 or 8 minute walk from the airport bus stop (get off at Festplassen) and a similar distance from the city centre and harbourside (fishmarket, Bryggen etc.). The actual location is a quiet street so no noisy revellers at night.
Rooms and bathrooms are exactly what you would expect from a Scandic, smart, clean and comfortable without being overly lavish. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom spotless.
Breakfast is plentiful and varied but a bit disappointing in the variety of the cooked section - limited to scrambled eggs, mini-frankfurters, baked beans and new potatoes (???).
The public area is a bit drab and lifeless but, at the end of the day, you only pass through this space to get somewhere else. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which we didn't use but appeared to be very reasonably priced.
We booked for 2 nights on a discounted advanced booking deal direct with Scandic and got a decent price. All in all we enjoyed our stay and had nothing at all to complain about.
